Royalty is somewhere between stoicism, insanity, and CHIM. I’m pretty sure the Doomslayer is Royalty, or at least approaching it. Not just for the violence, but because he has absolutely no hesitation or qualm in destroying every chance of his own survival in order to see his purpose through, and nonetheless seems to make it out every time. That’s my sense of him, anyways.

‘Science’ also can just mean ‘knowledge’ - it’s an archaic usage but in the Omniverse I get the sense that the structured naturalistic inquiry we call science has a lot less to do with the more interesting kinds of knowledge than it might in our world.
