The evil of Watto isn't what stereotype he is or isn't, but that he's a "good" slaveowner. The kind who thinks that because he lets his slaves have things and doesn't beat them (much), he's a good person. When you see him again in Episode 2, he's super happy to see Anakin. He doesn't realize that slavery is evil, and that he loving sold Anakin's mom like a piece of meat. Anakin can barely control his hatred of the man. And the Jedi don't give a poo poo that there's still slavery in the Outer Rim. Hell, they don't give a poo poo about Droid slavery and Clone slavery. They talk about how they're keepers of peace and justice but they're deeply entrenched in the highly corrupt government of the Republic, live isolated in their ivory tower, and don't care about the injustice that they can't see or that is politcally complicated. Anakin see through that bullshit, and that's how Palpatine gets him.

The prequels are racist, but through cultural osmosis that is impossible to escape in our racist society. Best example of this being Mace Windu not being a human like Han Solo is human but a jungle alien, I don't understand how people can say the prequels are good when it lacks fundamentals aspects of movie making such as characters or rising action.

If you watch that scene out of context it looks like an important battle the outcome of which matters. The movie treats the Gundgans vs Robots fight more seriously than Anakin in the enemy ship. Whereas the diversion done by the comedy rabbit men is treated like a serious Lord of the Rings battle. It's completely incoherent. Why is nobody talking about this?????????????????
