It seems like it's fixed somehow for me? It didn't happen when I booted the game just now. Kind of a shame, it was fun to gently caress around with.

Huh, actually all the problems I've been having since yesterday up and vanished within the last hour: the text not scrolling in the Thought Cabinet, inability to save, and the debug menu. They must have hotfixed it?

Okay, now I ran into a weird-rear end glitch: I gave the drunks in the fishing village Evrart's letter to sign by accident when I actually wanted to forge it myself, so I tried to reload, but couldn't open the Esc menu, so I used Task Manager to exit the game. When I started the game back up, I was in some debug menu:

And now I automatically start in it whenever I boot the game. What the gently caress????

Hey, after the latest patch I'm noticing that descriptions of thoughts in the Thought Cabinet are getting cut off due to a change in the font size or what-have-you. Is there any way to fix this?

"Block-In Playground," "Halo Test Scene," "Sense of Scale," "Grayroom," "Bright Room," and "Room of Motion" don't respond when I click them. I'm going to assume they removed whatever those would send me to.

Clicking on "Dream 3-INT" sends me to a dream scene I've never seen before, on the islet, speaking with Dolores Dei, though maybe that's in the game somewhere and I missed it somehow? (e: Oh, it's for when you sleep in the flak tower? I thought I did that, maybe there's some other requirement)

The most interesting thing I found is that clicking on the second dream sequence puts Kim there with you, but he obviously has no lines in the scene.

Ah I see, yeah when Kim tells you you should take a nap at the island you have the dream with Dolores in it. And yeah weird that Kim’s there, he shouldn’t.

Idk what you guys are talking about, do you not see the screenshot arist spoilered?

Woah, interesting that the dream area is right below the portion of the map in an inaccessible area. Have you tried clicking on any of those options? Like Halo test scene, etc

This is pretty common with video games. I recall in GTA3 the opening cutscene takes place in an area outside the city that you can actually access if you manage to fly the Dodo over the hills on the last island. It's all facades like an olden movie set.

I remember approaching that scene, and I knew the truth of it before Harry did and I’m mouthing “oh no...” just to have Harry do it a moment later. Such drat good writing.

It's just perfect that Kim lets you figure it out yourself, giving you a few hours after the ice has already melted enough for you to do your thing. It shows you exactly what Kim thinks of you, and your relationship with him.

...and as soon as i saw the car submerged in the ice, I knew exactly what had happened. Genuinely one of the only times Ive ever laughed out loud playing a video game.

my computer doesn't quiiiite meet the requirements, so I didn't get this for a while, but I heard other people having success on laptops worse than my computer, so I thought I'd try it. With settings turned low, it runs without lag at a super-playable ~40fps framerate...

...except I'm getting graphical glitches on character models that I can't find anyone else having online; putting on clothes makes the body invisible, and throws tons of triangles into the mix, floating out of bounds.

Other character models are all glitched out, its like there's a math error as to where to put model vertices. This happens running the game normally, or with -force-d3d9 (-force-opengl simply causes the game not to launch with an error message). My GPU is too old to be capable of DX11, might that be it? anyone know of a fix? runnin a 2.6GHz Pentium G620 and a Radeon HD 4870 in Windows 7 x64 w/8GB RAM, if that matters. Drivers are updated because the newest drivers are like seven years old, lol

It’s possible running it on Windows 10 instead of 7 could help but the best solution is to buy or build a new PC.

Finally playing this after buying it near launch and then having my computer be inaccessible for months. I'm just kind of doing whatever, went heavy on Inland Empire and am going with the flow picking whatever options seem most entertaining/Communist/Kim-friendly. I've been doing my best to avoid looking things up but I just went through the big thing on Day 4 and it was an absolute poo poo-show. I managed to save Kim but most of the Hardie boys bought it and I never found my gun so I couldn't fight back. So I looked to see if that's how it has to happen and apparently I could have had a Molotov cocktail? I had the relevant quest and the components in my inventory but the Horrific Necktie never spoke up and let me do it. I wasn't able to visit all three locations because I was dicking around with cryptozoology and the church too much. Was that the reason? I'm not going to roll back my save obviously, but I am kind of bummed that I could have turned the tide a bit but never got the option.
