I grabbed this thursday, played through the tutorial sections but haven't had time to come back until now, and i have to start again? There was an update and that seems to have completely erased my save game. I don't want to have to pick apples for Tom Nook again.

I am a new player who buys almost everything that goons buy. I got on my island a jock sporty tiger who is obsessed with lifting weights and a cangaroo who's child never speaks  I thought I'n gonna dislike the weightlifter but he is surprisingly likebale, we are becoming friends. Kangaroo I like less. Family of racoons who hold me in debt bondage I don't know what to tell you. Kids are ok but the farther is training them to be assholes like him and I don't like it. I visited other islands and met cool looking but vain fox who I accidentally invited and regretted immeditely because she will only cause drama. Next island I met awsome peaock who I this time invited consciously and can't wait to get there. Next island I also met some cool looking bird who is kind of shy, but also invited I want to see him more. Not happy that Nook doesn't reward me for contributions to museum.
