Easy. Mainly because people took the premise, and made a 2-edgy-4-u story about a world where all of the sudden everything was made of dog (including, gasp, fruit!). Because of that, it's the only one I can remember off hand, and thus my automatic favorite.

What's your favorite "profound, unforeshadowed twist in otherwise established settings" moment in comics? That 886 page Rosalairan comic from 16 years ago managed to go 450 pages before suddenly becoming something vastly different. Exploitation Now slowly became a story about a girl escaping some kind of robotics lab and despite reading it all in 2-3 sittings i didn't notice the shift until the original characters came back for a gag strip to complain. There was also that gamer couch comic where one of the dudes became a vampire (?) and physically implanted a vampire eye in one other dude who got blinded during a paintball fight (???) and then there was a massive paintball war that ended the world????????????? or some poo poo?????????????????????????
