I'm dumb and I thought this was Su-Yeong until she referred to her, and then I thought it was a new character we hadn't seen before. So Broom Girl made her into a husk? Are husks just what happen when your familiar dies, or was it something specific she did?

Yeah, I was the same until I saw the note under the page a couple pages ago pointing to the sequence with Rin. Hard to say if Broom Girl did anything - all we saw was she kicked Rin's familiar into the path of her own bullet. Both Rin and Joe thought the familiar would revive soon, so either this is something special Broom Girl did, or it's the result of killing your own familiar. Or it's unrelated to the specifics and Rin getting very angry without her familiar as a magic sink is what caused this, that could also be the case. Okay: This was some kind of manga-inspired mashup comic with an ensemble cast. I distinctly remember one of the characters being a Japanese idol android, and a couple where the man had this fetish where he would feed his girlfriend to excess . I think it was formatted into chapters with a kind less than obvious way of going through pages rather than the usual "<<first <last next> latest>>" link set that most webcomics used then and still use now.

In my infinite wisdom I completely forgot about the existence of this thread when I launched A Distant Sky a month ago, so a very belated thanks to everyone currently reading! I have launched a Patreon for both the comic as well as my radio station, and patrons will receive access to page previews and/or access to the song request interface on Radio Skvortsov.

Wait, this isn't that old comic called Uncle <Something's Something Something> or whatever where one of the characters was a very skinny, very effeminate guy who was a complete weeb who spoke broken Japanese whose boyfriend was a closeted Christian missionary, is it?

Sleepless Domain: As soon as Undine ran off....before she ran off, even...I'd have sworn to you I knew what was going to happen. That Undine would run off in tears and get jumped by Goopy the Purple Girl while she was alone, distracted, and vulnerable. Then Kokoro would catch up and save her in a big fight scene. Nnnnnnope. I like that this comic can keep me guessing.

I'm gonna try to keep self-promotion to a minimum, but today's page of A Distant Sky is important to me because it is now ahead of my previous attempt in pagecount. MGDMT owned bones. Also, Kelly Turnbull's marriage was officiated by the Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla himself! Her twitter is a great, great follow. I'm real tempted to get her latest comic, but not really into signing up for the additional porn that comes with it? But then, I read Oglaf regularly so maybe I should just get over myself. Anyways, it's at Slipshine. Which is obviously NSFW- the url is orgymania.net if you were wondering how obvious.

I'm not opposed to paying for porn comics, but Slipshine (no idea why that isn't their url if it's their name...) has always been a dubious prospect for me. The previews make it entirely unclear how much content you're actually getting - how many of those comics actually update daily, and how many are completed? How many have a big archive, and how many are just one-shots? Plus it has Moon Over June, so... Ecccch.

So I'm finally reading Never Satisfied (I read the first chapter years ago but there was no more back then), and, going in spoiled about who Lucy's parents are made me realize that there's just as much foreshadowing with Peony. She's going to turn out to be their full-blooded sister, right? She's got the nose Sylas and his terrifying little sister do, and the blond hair of Lapointe. The ages match up with her not having been born/conceived when Morgan ended up on the streets, which raises the question of, what the gently caress? Was she the replacement child for Lapointe? How do all of Lapointe's bastard potentially-blackmail babies keep ending up on the streets? Is it weird that Lucy and Peony are about the same age as Sylas and his sister? Does that mean something? Did Lapointe do that on purpose?? PetraCore fucked around with this message at 03:17 on Apr 8, 2020 |
