I think they're trying to establish shark as a go-to creature type for 'big blue creature with flash' and it honestly works pretty well

Ah yes, blue getting a legacy playable card in commander, exactly what it needed now that TNN isn't seeing much play.

It's about as powerful as Arcanist which sees play in UR. I could be willing but I would be surprised if this didn't see any play.

It’s too busy having giant loving babies to worry about being huge itself. It has Deathtouch, that’s big enough

I'm not really a fan of giving my opponents an extra turn, even if they can't do anything to me. Maybe.

Cute art though.

LOL on the sealed cube event I managed to claw my way out from a terrible board state and take over, but I was going to die to my own phyrexian arena on my next upkeep as long as he didn't attack into my lifelinker.

I was HOPING he'd jam in to the lifelinke.

Instead he conceded. There's not a "oops" big enough.

It'd be fine except they haven't banned Flash and Thassa's Oracle makes the player win instead of an opponent lose.

By itself it's terrible but maybe there's some card you can play after this to abuse the current turn protection. Pretty neat imo.

I would expect that in commander there are some politics that figures into whether or not giving another player an extra turn is actually bad or not

IDK how playable 2 mana 8/8s are in legacy but that interaction with Brainstorm sure is pretty funny

I mentally added "remove 8 counters and sacrifice ~" but that's not what it says huh? That seems... pretty good if you're in the business of cycling cards and filling your grip. Plus it doesn't seem hard to be feeding 2 or so at a time...

It makes me miss the old VS System card game. :(

That's still probably my favorite 1v1 card game. It did so much right.

Also after some of the recent alternate art stuff, I'm starting to think that part of the reason the regular cards often seem so stale isn't so much the commissioned art but the frame/font/etc. It's very windows XP and even with art that does have character (which they've added more of) it's still somewhat stale overall.

If nothing else I'm sure Mr. Toads wild ride will slot this in. I don't think there's enough here to make it a non-meme deck but if you want something for a few hundred to take to a casual legacy night I guess this will be something.

It's not really jumping the shark because the shark has flying already and it's activated ability makes the human fly until end of turn. It's jumping the human.
