yeah, if this doesn't lead to some actual recriminations, or even get acknowledged by the leadership, I'm going to be so pissed off I skimmed that article and these people are unmitigated scum, mocking the parties own members and activists. if any of them are still in the party in any capacity then they have to be expelled or it's dead to me

I read the article. We would have a Corbyn-led Labour government right now if these people had, not even worked for it, but not actively tried to prevent it. Actually feel a bit sick, these people are loving evil.

all of them that I looked at are no longer working for the party, but I don't know if that means they're also no longer members I read that whole article and it is so absolutely disgusting, I can hardly believe it if this wholesale sabotage by the people who were getting paid to run the party isn't addressed in anyway, it will be a complete failure. I'm obviously pissed off on ideological grounds, these scum are worse than Tories, but from a purely organisational point of view if they don't look into how and why this was able to happen then they can't stop it from happening again e: I mean obviously it's unlikely to happen again because it was purely ideological hatred of good things and starmer is not sure if he's pro good things, but theoretically XMNN fucked around with this message at 17:40 on Apr 12, 2020 |

Chucat posted:So assuming these people are (still?) in the Labour Party, why should I want to give the Labour Party money? Realistically the Labour party is still the best place to effectively agitate for socialism in the UK. Even if the leadership are a bunch of melts now and some of the bureaucrats have been shits, they are dwarfed by the membership and they know it. They can't hold on forever. They are ideologically on the way out and the left is resurgent - even with this setback. Pay as little as you can get away with as membership dues, and make things loving difficult for the labour right, but throwing away any influence you might have had over the party is very shortsighted imho. The bolsheviks were the same party as the mensheviks for a long time, and the latter crying and going home doomed them. e: This isn't to say don't do smaller scale community organising/grassroots stuff etc too - but ditching labour to either do that exclusively or get in with a smaller, more overtly radical left wing party with a few hundred people is I think a terrible idea.

loving lol if you think Starmer wasn't in on all this, or at the very least was as happy as a sack of cold sludge can manage to take advantage of the backroom fuckery to advance himself. Unless there's a serious purge of the internal structure of the party there's no way we're getting rid of this kind of ratfuckery, and with the melts back in control they're only likely to reinforce it to stop another Corbyn from getting anywhere near power.
