Having just played around with the placing of paths for a bit... I find there are places where there is always a gap between a given building and the path. A good example would be the museum. Is that just the way things work, or are there some pro strats I'm missing?

I didn't find a single Large Star Fragment the day after a meteor shower (at least I think it was one? My Nook Miles say I made 39 wishes...) a couple of days ago. Are they that rare or was I just super unlucky? Can't craft the Magic Wand because of this, but at least I have the Bunny Wand.

I made over 200 wishes I got 26 Star fragments, 2 Aries fragments, and zero large Star fragments I had the recipe for a bamboo wand however which didn't require a large fragment, then I got a couple fish wands in the tourney

It happened to me the first time I had a meteor shower, and I'd cleared the star-wishing nook stamps (200) all in that night.

So apparently I am right on the cusp of a 5 Star rating, because taking down my seasonal Bunny Day decorations dropped my rating to 4 Stars again. Isabelle was saying I have too much poo poo lying around, which just wasn't true! I had all my free Bunny Day DIY recipes sitting on benches this time, not on the ground! I pocketed those DIY cards (and the benches) and I stayed at 4 Stars. Then I put the benches back in place, and I reached 5 Stars again! So, Star Rating and DIY/Freebie Pile PSA: it doesn't matter if your [ITEM]s (not placed furniture/leaves) are on benches, tables, or the floor! They still count against you. Also, I just found out today that: Nothing in your house can be looted by dodo visitors (this includes DIY cards, toolboxes, turnips, etc), which for some reason means that visitors cannot read the names of any DIY cards you leave "on display / for request" in your house. It sucks, but basically if I want to keep a 5-Star rating I have to decorate more to have enough leeway to leave a bunch of spare DIYs lying around for visitors.

I'm going to have my island in three areas - the 'developed' bit where we all live, villagers mostly in two areas either side of the plaza, then a 'garden' place with the orchard and flower gardens with paths and walls, and then the 'wilderness' bit that will include the cliffs and stay more-or-less like it is now. I don't really feel the need to move my river or cliffs right now, they're very good as they are.

I have an issue, hoping someone can weigh in, please. I took an empty area of my island to make a large orchard of various fruit. I planted them with one space between each other. Three days later random trees have grown and most of them are just small sprouts still. I thought maybe the spacing was too little but I have plenty of spacing like that on the rest of my farm. Mine were 108 yesterday, I didn't want to bother taking trips so I just bought them at home. Hilariously there's a nook miles reward for buying them in your own town I had not yet gotten, like when I couldn't figure out what the last fruit was and it turned out it was my native fruit

Oh, huh, I'm only at 9 villagers but I got a camper today. I assumed you didn't get campers till you were at 10. Doesn't seem like I can do anything with them (I presume if I build a plot I can ask them to move in, but I don't want this particular camper.)
