Ah, yes, 'if WWE didn't put on shows, the wrestlers would just wrestle somewhere else' is a point that would make sense IF THEY WERE ACTUALLY CONTRACTORS. (To be fair, Lawler probably would/is gonna try and wrestle on indy shows for 50 people.)

People refuse to believe that there might be consequences (or fear of consequences) for choosing not to work. He even admits that WWE isn't taking it serious, why would they be kind to a wrestler that refuses to work because of something they clearly don't believe is a valid reason? Like how RVD got into trouble because he refused to go on a trip to Iraq that the office said was "optional." How loving stupid do you have to be to take WWE's side on this

isn't that a real question? Why is AEW able to run since he's explained WWE. I'm gonna assume people looked into that guy and he sucks though. I realize I'm probably being Cavauro-baited into a serious response but: AEW isn't running. They taped up through mid-May and sent everyone home. And last I checked Coward Tony isn't bribing Florida politicians to continue running shows. People trying to whatabout it are ignorant or acting in bad faith.

Imagine looking at Asuka cutting fired up Japanese promos in the ring, laughing, cackling, dancing and just oozing charisma with body language alone and thinking,"gently caress, this just doesn't work unless it's a stilted, memorized promo delivered in halting English while standing completely still...." One of the few good things WWE has done (and it may be more down to them just not paying attention to her anymore) is letting Asuka mostly abandon the English promos and letting her go ham doing her own thing in whatever language she feels like.

20 years of 30 minute plodding The Fact Of The Matter Is McMahon Family back and forth promos has really done a number. There are posters on this very forum that think Asuka is annoying, trying too hard, Too Much, etc. I guess I'd agree with the trying too hard just because a lot of people have figured out it's not worth loving trying for this company. Nakamura did a second of trying recently and they split his drat head on a piano.
