wiggly eyes!

Disappointed to go to my local Sainsburys and find all the Easter Eggs are a whopping 50p-£1 off.... or less than they are normally discounted by. SMDH.

edit: loving hell, there's a poo poo snipe.

£148 is roughly how much I would have needed to have paid for £200 sticker price Easter Eggs.

Yeah, in hellworld your choices are basically "pick one of the other abusive megacorps instead" or "buy everything local that's made by anarchist farming coops".

In most of those cases the chain of ownership is so byzantine that it's like not buying something from a local artist because their landlord is a oval office. Of course they are. Build a better world instead.

I guess what I am doing here is giving Starmer the benefit of the doubt that he was unaware of much of this, which is open to question. After all, the stuff about McNicol deliberately hampering investigations has been 'known' to members on the left of the party for a long while even without direct evidence.

The difference between 'known' and provable is so huge though, this is actually concrete, this is something we could be referring back to still in 10 years.

And that difference between 'known' and provable is loving maddening sometimes. Like as an engaged outsider you see all these weird moves, odd statements, really specifically strange articles and moments in interviews and it all adds up in your head and suddenly you realise 'oh gently caress these people don't actually want to win' but its completely not-provable because it's a mental composite. It's hundreds of small moments suggesting that idea with zero moments disproving that idea and it's not something you could ever tell or show someone without 50 hours to make the powerpoint and 6 hours to present it. It's like the Cassandra tragedy you have this profound knowledge but are structurally not able to communicate it.

Especially compared to the spurious nothing-talk shite that fills the editorials and the BBC panels it is literally maddening, the power vs truth contradiction has grown so huge now that fucks you up mentally it makes you weird. I'm still reading through the document but it's already been so loving good for my mental health that the shadowy evil cunts are less shadowy now and practically this document is a useful tool, this is a weapon we can use God bless the leaker they have done the lords work inshallah.

They're not, Terry's is owned by Kraft/Mondelez. Who are definitely maybe terrible in many ways, but not like Nestle who primarily make money by grinding up Eritrean children's bones into a sort of a powder which they sell as a nursing formula

Yeah pretty sure Terry's isn't part of Nestlé (cos it's part of Cadbury's).

Dead babies is the least of it - an awful lot of contemporary chocolate growing involves child slavery. Nutella is (sadly) doubley cursed since it's hazelnuts also involve child labour. :(

Unfortunately not, some of the contents are reproduced on the website and elsewhere but we keep the pamphlets to physical availability only. Because of COVID 19 we are going to be producing an online pamphlet on ecosocialism in the new month or so rather than a physical version and that will be available on the website as well as an online launch which I imagine will be a public Zoom call for people to dial into and have a discussion about it.

Aye, pretty grim. Has there been an official response from the UK government yet? I'm assuming their line will be that health is a devolved area, therefore they're not responsible for sourcing PPE for the Scottish NHS - but it's not going to win them any votes north of the border that's for sure. I can't imagine they'll tough this one out for long.
