Bad as it was for the dude the pilot not only had to deal with the shock of the incident and losing the canopy but then landing the jet without one all the while knowing his seat could fire off at any second, including while landing, because it malfunctioned - it was supposed to eject him too. Although it's a zero-zero seat (meant to work down to zero speed/altitude) the malfunction of the tandem system meant it may have simply knocked his seat out if it finally fired i.e. killed him.

EKDS5k posted:Crossposting from my thread in AI. I took this at the mine I'm working at. It's a little known fact that most industrial breakers require partial sun to properly germinate. What they're doing is ensuring adequate breaker supply by providing sun, air and moisture to the breaker seeds within the panel. You can identify whether a panel has a healthy colony of immature breakers by dousing the panel with water and listening for crackles or smelling for the scent of smoke.

Reading that article all the way through, its comedy of errors is incredible. Also, how has the GoPro footage mentioned in the article not been released yet?!?

Arguably the most serious mistake as the revenue from licensing that video could have covered the cost of all the repairs and possibly a new aircraft. Just think how many ad campaigns could use that footage.

What if there's a moderate fuckup? Does it account for catastrophic fuckups? Is there a chart with levels of fuckups so we don't bother Todd unnecessarily?
