I feel like the biggest disconnect going on right now is that Legosi is going into this confrontation basically assuming it's going to be a bare-knuckle brawl, and Melon is absolutely fine with using weapons, as seen previously against Legosi.

Aside from just that there's a bloody herbivore in front of him, this is also during his fasting. He hasn't eaten anything in over a week at this point.
