Your altitude can be calculated same as you location.
(:tinfoil: it's not really about protecting you from the virus, it's about getting a foot in the door for mass surveillance in the mid-long term :tinfoil:)

I think I read the idea was that if you're in a certain (horizontal I would assume) distance of someone diagnosed with covid for more than 15 minutes you'd be considered potentially infected. Walking past the supermarket on the way home won't trigger it, but travelling in the same train carriage for 20minutes would.

I'd trust the meteorologists for same day for forecasting, up to about 2 days even they're pretty drat accurate. The problem is when people want forecasts a week out which is much, much less reliable.
Also, what are you spraying for? If it's weeds, boiling water from a kettle is pretty effective and doesn't care about rain (depends on how much property you've got)

Weeds, and I'm on a corner block so I have a lot of edges both inside and outside the boundary.

Exactly what I had in mind but it's different with sourdough culture compared to bread yeast. There is a good chance it was over proofed but lesson learned I'm sure

How often is everyone checking the news?

I check the Aussie vivid news once a day, mostly in case there are any new restrictions imposed.

I only check the overseas covid news every few days now because it's too depressing and has little relevance to the local situation.

I should have ignored the forecast and sprayed the edges. Rain still hasn't arrived.

I check the abc headlines once or twice a day at work, very rarely outside that and almost never watch the tv news. It gets you down too much, covid or just in general.

I just check when I wake up to see if anything is super relevant, I feel like the longer you spend reading news the dumber the stuff you end up reading is.

I check the ABC and BBC website a few times a day. Never have it on the telly if I can help it though.
On weekdays we get up at 5am so we watch 30mins of the DW English language German news on SBS which is kinda like the BBC, mostly mute anything covid related though.

I ordered undies online and didn't bother to check the material bc I've never found a pair of cheap undies that weren't at least wearable but somehow I managed to find the 92 polylester/8 elastane undies and buy two pairs of them and theyre the worst thing to touch my dick since a dude named Jeremy gave me a backrub in a student accommodation pool

It’ll feel like poo poo - staticky and clingy. It also doesn’t breathe like cotton so you’ll be a sweaty mess. And because it’s a hoodie, which you’ll never wash, for you are a goon, it’ll stink soon.

i'm not saying that wiping your butthole with paper is the perfect solution, but I'm deeply suspicious of the assertion that bidets are the answer. It feels like when you're going through a rough spot and those street scientologists see you and hone in on you whenever someone sparks up a conversation with me about washing my rear end with water. Yeah I'm hosed, no I don't think that's what I need for it.

If you got poo poo on your hand do you wash it off with running water and soap or sorta smear it with some disposable paper?

:same:

When it was first going down there seemed to be a lot happening every few hours as govt, media, etc were in new territory / playing catch-up / whatever. We don't do TV news, but we had ABC News Radio on a bit.

Now it feels like the pace of meaningful info emerging has really slowed. Also feels like sensationalism and fluff has filled the gaps. Feel like it's back to culture war poo poo soon.

So now it's a routine comparable to yours. No more radio, deffo no TV news.

It also gets a bit much, like you said.

I just give the ABC News site a quick look once every day or two to see what the current virus situation is locally. I don't really watch TV all that much, so anything beyond that is walking into the living room while someone else is watching the news.

Dumb question: Has anyone here ordered anything from overseas while all this was going on? Been thinking of buying some stuff from a UK-based website but if there are additional restrictions that make that a massive pain in the arse beyond just delays than I'll just turf the idea entirely.
