Yes. Made in the instant pot, as it happens, but that's mostly irrelevant to the dish. Peas get stirred in at the end, they aren't cooked with the meat and spices.

Been making some ridiculous stuff lately as a coping mechanism. There are no diets in a pandemic! I've been pretty good about using stuff we already have though.

Stale bread that was too dense because it was already late and I was exhausted so didn't give it long enough during the second rise because goddammit I just wanted to go to sleep? French toast!

Bananas Foster French Toast:

Busted into your last, emergency gumbo and didn't have enough left over for two full portions the next night, while simultaneously having 3 potatoes that are starting to go a little soft?

Gumbo Poutine (Oaxaca instead of curds):

Have a full quart of smoked beef fat?

Smoked Beef Fat Flour Tortillas, with Hoisin Garlic Sirloin Flap, Black Garlic Napa Slaw, Asian Chimichurri and Ginger-Pickled Fresnos:

The chimichurri was cilantro, green onion, garlic, fresno, Chinese black vinegar, lime juice, canola oil, salt, and a tiny touch of toasted sesame oil.

Holy poo poo I’ve been manually uploading to imgur and copying the bbcode and you’ve been able to do it from within the app this whole time?!

A) How'd you shape the puff pastry to get it to dome so high? Looks gorgeous
B) iOS fails with imgur API issue ~50% of the time for me. Am I alone?
C) eat your drat mushrooms or pass them to me

A) I just cut a circle and pressed it on top and hoped for the best and it worked. Didn’t really know what to expect

B) so far it’s worked 100% of the time for me

C) I ate them all and they were delicious

I only have excellent ideas
Yesterday I made Chris Morocco's maple glazed tofu for lunch and liked it enough to try to make a dinner around it. So tonight I made a batch of tortillas and did some tofu and kimchi tacos with kale and a little gochujang spread. I also got a little sampler of Queen Majesty hot sauces and decided that since this was already a pretty ginger-heavy glaze I didn't have much to lose by just slopping more ginger sauce on.

Not anything approaching authentic but look I'm working with what I have.
