Big Beef City posted:why is there a metal clasp in the first one 1. It's the clasp from the sling I was wearing. 2. X-rays are not actual photos, and . . . magic? 3. See #2 4. It's just one broken bone (scapula), but the angle of the xray makes it look like both are broken, and the break is further apart than it really is. 5. The initial break was very clean and close together. Given the amount of muscle in that area it's very easy for these kinds of breaks to move to some degree. Since I was not in excessive pain, I waited until the next x-ray that was scheduled. The doctor (given the lack of pain, mobility in my arm, and strength in the affected arm assumed I only had a crack, not a break and was even thinking of skipping the second x-ray, but did it anyway and was blown away by what he saw. He contacted a specialist to see if it required surgery, and the specialist thought that (given my symptoms or lack thereof) it would be find and heal. Apparently when it heals they realign to a certain extent and the healing crosses over at an angle to reattach the bones. This is the x-ray that I'm hoping shows me that the next time I am lifting a few bundles of shingles or a truss that it won't snap. 6. I know, right? Another angle of the second x-ray. Sjs00 posted:What was the second case The other case was a preschool-aged girl who drank an unknown amount of hand sanitizer from a 64-ounce bottle she found on the kitchen table. Her family said she then got dizzy, fell, and hit her head. She was unresponsive when emergency responders arrived. They took her to the hospital via ambulance. She vomited on the way and was poorly responsive when she arrived. There, doctors found her blood alcohol level was nearly 3.5 times the legal limit for driving. That is, she had a blood alcohol level of 273 mg/dL, where 80 mg/dL is the legal limit for driving in most states. Neuroimaging did not indicate traumatic brain injuries. Doctors admitted her to the pediatric intensive care unit, and she left the hospital after 48 hours.

See, I think people take issue with responses like this. I deliberately described how low effort this is and your responses were "wrap your entire apartment in clorox wipes" and "go nuts". Do you see how maybe someone could think that you don't understand what they're saying, based on such a flamboyant response? You're acting like people are taking a crazy amount of effort, but that's simply not the case. zer0spunk posted:acting like we're all walking dead men for not doing it on here is a different story, especially based on speculation. That's not how this works, and the whole thing stemmed from the discussion about bad advice like the doctor who made a video instructing people to wash produce with soap I certainly didn't do this. So why are you replying to me like I did? I know the video that you're referring to and he didn't do this, either; he explained his own efforts at protecting his immunocompromised family members but didn't say that you are "walking dead men" for not doing what he does. And he definitely didn't tell anyone to wash produce with soap (he wiped the packaging of some vegetables and he dumped some oranges in sudsy water; you can do that with fruits with rinds). Do you think the VA would have done this study in the first place if Trump wasn't trumpeting these pills? Is it a stretch to say a pile of vets are dead because of him? Not that the VA needs any help trying to kill vets, I say as a patient.
