Oh that looks really nice. At least in the case of the Copa America with Uruguay having won it 15 times and Argentina 14 it would look kinda awkward putting all those years on the sleeve. I was thinking something more like this:

Yeah, a patch with a number is an elegant solution. I think the other possibility is doing something similar to leagues like Serie A, except with a star of a different colour like gold or red or whatever being added in place of 9 other stars each time a team wins it 10 times, so Uruguay would have 1 special star and 5 regulars.
