I presume that’s some kind of overnight stuff? It’s starting to get cold at night but it hasn’t reached its full ferocity yet. Mid July I’d be worried for you cause that poo poo is loving cold

Interested in what's wrong with the Goodguys concierge service because I just had a pretty good experience with it. Bought a Samsung tv from them over 3 years ago, 3 weeks later when the price dropped lower at a different store they refunded me 120% of the difference. I got $20 store credit every 4 months for the duration of the concierge period. 3 months ago when the tv had a fault they organised to have it taken away and looked at. They then offered a full store credit refund and extended the warranty on the new tv I chose for another 5 years for free.

From a service agent side they lie through their teeth. Say the customer will be contacted within 24 hours for in home support. We didn't even get the job for a few days. Then the customer calls us bitching why we aren't at their house. We have no Idea who they are because no job lodged yet.

TV repair under Samsung though is easy peasy. Customer calls Samsung and says its screwy. The agent gets shipped the parts the Samsung rep believes will fix the problem usually overnight and sometimes beats the email sent to us. Then fingers crossed the rep got it right or customer rages at us thinking we decided the wrong parts.

Still too warm for doonas in Perth. loving armpit of a city.

I was sick this week, thankfully weren't the crow ,and spent most of it in a haze playing video games and sleeping. Completely lost Tuesday.

Hoping to spend the weekend in a similar though self inflicted state.

Even when you get a fault, you're probably covered for repairs/replacement for a lot longer than what you might expect. Under consumer law, goods must be of acceptable quality and be 'Safe, lasting, and with no faults'. The lasting part means they should last for as long as you might reasonably expect that type of item to last.

For example, even if a washing machine has a 12 month warranty, you should reasonably expect a decent washing machine to last considerably longer than that. If it dies in 18-24 months you would almost certainly have a case for getting it replaced/repaired. Probably even longer although it gets less certain as more time goes by.

All you get with extended warranties is the peace of mind of not having to argue your case in those situations.

If you're buying something you need from JB under $500 like headphones or a Switch or something, get the Device Ensure. Once the regular warranty runs out after 12 months you can call the claims line and tell them the bluetooth stopped connecting or similar, for claims under $500 they don't require in-person fault diagnosis or a return and can give authorisation over the phone. Then you go to JB and get given a gift card to the value of the original purchase, even after the cost of the Device Ensure you can still come out several hundred bucks ahead.

When I went to Coles this afternoon there was plenty of toilet paper in different brands and different pack sized.

There were still a lot of gaps on the baking stuff shelves, though.

Two dollar shop had both masks and hand sanitiser, which was a bonus as the surgical masks I ordered online haven't arrived yet and hand sanitiser is still an insane price online
