Rossman is a guy just sick of the right to repair movement after losing a lot of cash importing fake screens. He makes some amazing repair videos though dumbing poo poo down for everyone. EEVBlog Dave is great but suffers from the common aussie voice rise which is really loving annoying. Bobby dazzler! In like Flynn! (I've helped on a video so imagine IRL pain) AvE started off nice and kooky with weird phrasing but solid content. Now it seems to try to hard. But always love when you hear him talking bi-lingual to his kids out of frame. Thunderf00t is a legit scientist. And also legit psychopath and likely MRA. But I do enjoy his debunking videos if only he stay objectful and eject his personal views. BigClive is a huge teddy bear who has a huge fetish for lighting gear because *wow! shock* he is a professional lighting guy. But will be forever remembered for his 'flaming dolly' ThisOldTony is a loving huge troll and he knows it. If you don't see it in his videos, you were the intended target.

Rossman made a few really cringey videos about "dating in NYC" a few years ago and then sometime later apparently a lady just emailed him out of the blue one day like "i think ur interesting we should meet" and they did and they're dating she's in the background of a lot of videos now and he completely chilled out on all that crap and seems a lot happier despite getting turbofucked while moving his business during the middle of a lockdown.

I imagine every relationship in NYC is either based on a blatant grift, or just slutty people randomly crossing paths...much like L.A. there's no real love, there's only better and better opportunities.

This is opposite of the usual thread content, but I thought it was interesting in its own way and it is OSHA. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJ_TGoqVoM8 Rossman goes through the distancing and disinfecting processes he uses for his shop to protect his staff and his customers. It's really impressive for a small business owner and puts a lot of bigger orgs to shame. E: It's only for the first 5mins. Shut up Meg fucked around with this message at 16:11 on Apr 25, 2020 |

V=IR was literally the first lesson. I know nothing about circuits beyond kids tv basics at this point but i want to ask why is current represented by an I? ( I am assuming current is the i from context. Also im aware the letters chosen dont have to line up with anything just curious if it does)

to answer the usual follow-up: the reason you also sometimes see Ohm's law with an Ɛ instead of a V is because voltage used to be called "electromotive force."

It seems like anything the French were involved with has a weird verbose connection between the symbol and the concept. Germans and English were pretty straightforward, in contrast.

Love AvE but wish he would get back to tool reviews etc. I don't give a rat's rear end what he is cooking or fixing wiring on a buddy's truck. Did have my favorite quote when testing bolt extractors, "I am going to channel my inner millwright and chowder the gently caress outta this"

He fails the twitter purity test, in that he occasionally throws out a blue collar joke that is homophobic. He isn't marching around with a sign that says "god hates fags" afaik.

Rad-daddio posted:I wonder if all that oil is good for your skin. More than likely water based mud. That orange thing that gets dropped down the stump (the pipe sticking out of the table) is probably a soap stick. They are to stop mud rings from forming, and to keep the bit from balling up. This doesn't really happen with an oil based mud. The mud might have a pH of 8-11 or something like that. There might be lignite or Desco in the mud. Bentonite (gel), polymers like Kelzan or Drispac might be in there too.
