I was under the impression that thing was for for getting the truth out of folks and while it'd leave you hosed up for a bit, it wouldn't flat out drive you insane. What good would it have done to drive him insane when you're just trying to find out the truth (that he's there to help) and not a tricksy spy for the empire? Anderson. edit: someone made a point about how Rogue One was the only 'adult' Star Wars that fans believed the original series to be. I guess most of the novels after had set that kind of tone, and maybe is why some people take the Star Wars universe more seriously. Some of those books were really good! (Timothy Zahn's especially are generally pretty lauded.) And yeah, the atmosphere was pretty sombre. Maybe on hindsight I should forgive Kevin J.
