ER goon update: Been mostly at home lately which is a relief but it’s due to massive staffing cuts in the ER. Volumes are ramping back up so that’s good I guess but morale is low considering our thanks for putting up with ppe shortages and long work hours is an immediate staffing cut resulting in increased work stress. Not going to lie, looking into alternate careers. Seeing the difference in how the hospital treated the cardiologists and other specialists vs how they treated the ER made me really see how disposable they consider us. Still seeing 5-7 positive covids a day so we’re not done with this yet although we’re much better than we were. Last month 90% of my patients were covids.
