Yeah, you can get DIY recipes for different benches, but they seem pretty rare. I've only got one. I forget the name, but it's 2x1 and themed like a child's crafts desk.

Honestly, at some point it's not that you'll get a bunch more so much as you don't know what to spend them on, so they pile up. I'm at 130k nook miles and have already bought everything I can buy with them, other than mystery island tickets or bell vouchers.

I have a kind of alacrity in sinking.

Something I just noticed with my latest batch of visitors (thanks for leaving messages on my board, btw!) is that when someone arrives, you can see contrails* in the sky going one direction, and then when someone leaves you'll see another set of contrails going in the opposite direction. Very cool, if only the devs could have put that level of attention to detail into the villagers' dialogue.

While I'm sure some (or even most) of these incidents are malicious, I do wonder if at least some of them are because someone let their young child play. Some parents on this thread have talked about how their kids will absolutely hoover up everything in sight, thanks to (no judgment intended) yet-undeveloped impulse control and situational awareness.

My own island. It's still continuing today. Caught 3 in 15 minutes in the same river mouth. I guess I'm just going to take advantage of it and farm the poo poo out of them and get rich off fish.

I'm not 100% sure that last part is true. I was experimenting with eating fruit to see what effect it had, when I hit a rock with my shovel. It broke, and a gold nugget popped out. I was very new to the game at the time, so I thought I had hit a gem rock, like from New Leaf.

Anecdotally, though, breaking apart rocks that I've already hit for the day has always produced a single stone.

I'm fairly certain animals can teleport while offscreen, as long as there's a valid path. Just had Queenie zip around all over the place while I was running around trying to catch some fish.

Also, my turnip forecast went from 35% big spike 10% small spike to 80% fluctuating 20% small spike. But the small spike is teensy and the max on fluctuating is 15 more than my buy price. I'm 1.5M in the hole, you chill goons of this thread are my only hope.
