Edit: done. Anti-vaxxers just piss me off so much. I�ve been to too many places where children die from preventable illnesses due to lack of vaccines, and these gullible Westerners with the privilege of being able to reject medical science with minimal personal consequence are the loving worst.

Yeah this is infuriating.

I literally teach a class about antivaxx stuff, pseudoscience etc.

I've only left my house 2x this week, in both cases someone brought up Judy Mikovitz and the plandemic poo poo. This stuff is being signal boosted like crazy. Once was someone in the grocery store that I know who knows I am a microbiology prof, the other was a guy making a liquid nitrogen delivery to work that I had to go in and work with right after. The 2nd guy just didn't want to believe that Mikovitz is crap. I just straight told him that "she's a discredited scientist who fabricated data, got caught and now tries to make money off of making controversial stuff" and he's like "well I want to read up more about her then".

2nd guy went on to ask me if I thought it was a weapon released by China...

Only reason I talked with him is because he came in doing the delivery not wearing a mask or any PPE (mandatory in our building) and I got on him about it and that's when he mentioned the "well I heard the masks helped spread the virus".

Asking him "what the gently caress are you even talking about" lead to the Mikovits stuff.

Is there any doubt if he tested positive and didn't require hospitalization that he'd refuse to admit it? He won't even wear glasses in public, let alone a mask. Hell even if he did require hospitalization they'd still have a ham fisted coverup.

100% chance multiple other autocratic leaders have already tested positive but kept it quiet, like in Brazil or Iran.
