I feel so played by the game, at this point. The creepy obvious serial killer was too obviously a creepy obvious serial killer to be one. And then BAM, he’s a creepy obvious serial killer. Holy poo poo.

I sorta agree that this incestuous relationship may have been purely sexual abuse at the hands of his older sister. The fact that the game didn’t play it that’s way doesn’t matter to me, having sex young and with family horribly messes someone up psychologically. On the other hand, the execution, if you consider what happens in them to be what literally happens, seems to suggest that their “love” was entirely one sided, and that she found him as evil and hosed up as he really was. No matter what you look at, however, I wouldn’t have expected this to be handled with the level of ick that it deserves by the game... I think the player already will feel that way.

Yes, but there's a participant requirement. Who else will want to talk to Kaede, Ryoma or Kirumi? Kirumi is a murderer, Ryoma never had much to say anyway, and Kaede's best friend doesn't really seem all that into seances. Given that Angie views the three of them as murderers, it doesn't seem like she'd be in favour of her student council doing the seance if she hadn't died, and Kaito and Maki wouldn't participate. Absent a fresh murder, who would want to do a seance other than Kiyo himself?

I do now have the mental image of Kiyo getting his murder plan all set up and then futilely trying to convince everyone to try it out, like someone with a board game at a party. C'mon guys, it'll be fun! No really, it will! Please? I haven't played this in so long and it needs six players and I can never get enough people for it

My favorite part about this trial is the juxtaposition between Kirumi making a run for it last trial while everyone shouts encouragements, meanwhile in this trial Monokuma announces its time for the execution and nobody says a drat word.

And they were so blasé about the execution. Usually there’s a point where after one, everyone is horrified or disgusted, but this time they were like “well that happened” and immediately changed topic.

That actually makes a lot of sense! Alright Kiyo, you win this round.

I remember the question of "would the resurrection have worked" also splitting the player base back when the game came out. We'll never know for sure, but I don't think the motive would have been offered if it wouldn't have worked.

He could have just waited until the next murder and suggested it to contact the victim.

Maki had just been revealed, Angie had made her move as a cult leader, Koichi exists. The chance of a murder only go up.

Not true. Celes wanted, and I quote, "To live in a European castle, with dozens of handsome butlers cosplaying as vampires."

Still a poor reason for murder, but she's got style.

his goal was to give her a hundred friends, and he doesn't say he had broken 90 yet: he'd need to escape to have enough victims

Now for another thing this trial made me consider, out of the students comprising this Killing Game, Ryoma, Maki and Kiyo were all killers and had multiple people deliberately dead from their actions before they even set foot in here.

Does not seem very sporting, fair or interesting to have a bunch of actual already murder capable people in this style of Killing Game.

Toko/Jack in 1 and Fuyuhiko in 2 were the only other people with a bodycount in the series pre-entry were they not? Altough I am fine with Toko and Fuyu overall I did not really like those aspects of them either.

This actually is kind of interesting considering when the game was first being revealed and stuff, one of the first things was the idea that this was the Ultimate School for Gifted Juveniles. Which caused many in the Danganronpa Fanbase to assume every single one of the ultimates in this game as already performing some criminal action. Ryoma's backstory being a known thing didn't stop this at all, so there was lot of theorisation as to what all the crimes these kids had performed to get sent to a special school for well, juvenile criminals.

This isn't really the case but it is an interesting alternative that would've added a fascinating level to the whole friendship deal with free-time, as you already have at least one "murderer" (Ryoma) and presumably would've learnt everyone's crimes either during the main story or their free-times.

Could've been a fun gimmick/idea to explore, pity it isn't what happened. Imagine what crimes an Ultimate Detective might have committed (breaking and entering all the way up to "justfied" murder in self-defense) or a pianist (did Kaede kill a competitive rival, or something simple like stealing food) so on and so forth.

Yeah it's this, generally when you hear the term Juvenile it's well, in the context of a Juvenile Delinquent. Especially because it was such a different name, and the prison aesthetic was already somewhat known.

I can't think of the last time outside Danganronpa I saw the word without it being associated with criminal activity performed by children/teenagers.

Seriously though fair point, if all the Ultimates in DRV3 had been animals that would also have ruled.

The gifted juvenile delinquent thing was also assumed to be the “fake twist” at the start, as again Ryoma’s whole deal was known relatively early and thus everyone being in prison with him made sense at the time. Plus Monoluma turning rehabilitation into a murder game seemed logical.

TODAY'S GONNA BE A GOOD MOTHERFUCKIN' DAY!!!

With Chapter 3 finished, we get a new branch to the tree, with hanging effigies and katanas tied to it.

MUSIC: Becoming Friends

Kehehe... Then I will tell you about the beauty of humanity I have witnessed thus far...

Hey buddy, any of these look familiar at all?

This is a fine gift... It almost makes me sorry to be the one receiving it.

I would like to at least tell you some stories in return. Which one though...?

Yeah... What about it?

Well, music is an important aspect of anthropology.

Oh, that's true. Like folk music.

Huh? It's different?

When you think of Japanese folk music, what comes to your mind?

I guess, Japanese court music. Like the koto or the flute—music they play during New Year's.

Correct...in that those are examples of traditional cultural music of Japan.

What do you mean?

Hmm...how to put it... It's a complicated distinction, I admit. It's...music that was not crafted by the hands of specialists, such as musicians.

Nursery rhymes, lullabies, songs passed down through generations of mothers...

Yes, things like that...

I see... I kinda get what you mean.

There are many nursery rhymes and children's games whose meanings have been forgotten.

I don't wanna hear... It sounds scary.

Oh? I am disappointed that you would judge something based solely on your impression of it.

"Kagome Kagome" terrifies me!

Ah, yes. It has a great many different interpretations. It can be scary, or tragic... And according to one interpretation, it points to the hidden treasure of the Tokugawa family.

A hidden treasure!? I didn't know that! I wonder if that's true...

I cannot say for certain if it is the truth. Nor can anyone else. But...the idea that a certain truth is sealed away in the lyrics of a song is intriguing.

There's a song called "Goin' Home"... I thought it was a folk song... But it was actually just Dvorak's New World Symphony with lyrics.

Ah, so you are familiar with it, after all. Yes... Symphony No. 9's second movement. Known in Japan as "Sunset on a Far-off Mountain."

I almost feel like I'm floating when I listen to it, and the lyrics pair nicely with it too.

It shows just how intertwined music has become with our daily lives.

Yeah, itjust means music has always been with humanity even way back then.

Kehehe... Such words may seem simple, yet they have profound meaning behind them.

Then...may I listen to some music in your lab?

To have brought this to me... You truly have an eye for treasures. Kehehe...what a wonderful woman you are. I have no complaints with this.

If you'd like, I can tell you this item's history. Are you interested?

Though, I certainly enjoy witnessing the beauty of humanity that arises from this situation.

How long we're stuck here is up to us! We're all gonna work together and escape!

I see... So you've chosen to think in such a positive way. Kehehe... That, too, is beautiful.

I'll...take that as a compliment, but his chuckle kinda creeps me out.

You said...that you'd like to be friends when we escape here, yes?

Yeah, definitely!

Then, would it be too much...to ask you to become friends with my sister as well?

I do. She is a very important person to me.

Kiyo nodded cheerfully, but for a moment, I could see sadness in his eyes...

Sister has always been very sickly... She was in and out of the hospital since we were young.

Because of that, she never had the chance to make friends. It hurt me to see her so lonely...

I know that it may be a bit much to ask, but I think you'd be an excellent friend for Sister. So...how about it?

I mean, anyone would get lonely if they were all by themselves in a hospital.

Truly? It makes me very happy to hear you say that...

Oh, but people call me Piano Freak. Even then, you still want me as her friend?

That's quite alright...

AUDIO: Kiyo Free Time #1

Y-You're gonna make me blush if you keep saying stuff like that...

I wonder how Sister will react when she meets you... I look forward to seeing Sister's smiling face...

...

Sister complex... It offends me to have such a term used to describe me.

Kehehe... I apologize as well. I spoke more harshly than I meant to. So then...I shall arrange a chance for you and Sister to meet.

Kehehehehehehe... I will need to come up with a good plan...

A-Alright...

0h, maybe he wants to make it a surprise for his sister.

Kiyo is a bit creepy, but...at least he's a nice enough person to care about his sister. Right? Ummm... I still don't really understand him, though. He acts pretty feminine at times... I wonder if that's because of his sister's influence...

Human beings cling to life... That is the source of their beauty...

What sort of hell, I wonder, has Ryoma experienced... I am most curious...

I may have this? Kehehe...much appreciated. You enjoy giving gifts? Perhaps we can discuss cultural gift giving practices.

Kehehe...they are often confused, so your question is reasonable. To that question, "They are different" may be a possible answer.

History studies...events and changes in countries or regions across time. Archaeology traces the course of humanity through physical remains. Anthropology is a study that examines the thought behind traditions and customs.

Ah... I kind of understand, but I kind of don't.

From people come feelings, those feelings intersect and become tradition. At least, that's my stance on the matter.

The feelings intersect?

I'm sorry, I'm not very familiar with such things...

Is that so? But you encounter anthropology on a daily basis.

Someone on a journey commiting a taboo in a mountain village, for example.

That's true, I hear that often.

A character's background can be viewed through an anthropological lens. Tools and houses in the background... Jobs, speech, clothing, or food... With the proper knowledge, such things can help you understand a work more deeply... Without it, such clues go to waste.

You need to have a very high IQ to understand Danganronpa.

Kehehe, it seems I've piqued your curiosity. Let us talk more.

A monster with a plate on its head.

Kehehe... I thought you would say that.

A furry monster that looks like a monkey.

That is a somewhat surprising answer...but not completely unexpected.

A cool big brother.

...

Wh—... Huh? Why do you say that?

Ah, it's from a video game...

Oh, I see... It's just a recent trend. I have failed in my studies, it seems.

The monster with the plate on its head is probably the most famous.

Kehehe... That's exactly right, and yet...

Impossible?

Originally, monsters had no form, for they were based on people's emotions. That image of a kappa is a culmination of many different people's thoughts. An ancient fear was changed over many years into a creature we can identify.

Thus, I must keep the present in mind while I learn about past customs.

So? It is unexpectedly deep, yes?

Yeah... Profound.

:420::420::420:

*knock, knock...* ... *click...*

You have shown me beauty as well... Your suffering and determination...have been etched into my heart...

It's gotten to the point where I have so many notes, I cannot organize them on my own... Will you assist me?

This is a fine gift... It almost makes me sorry to be the one receiving it.

I would like to at least tell you some stories in return. Which one though...?

Yes, I would like to learn more, if that's alright with you.

Of course. I will speak of it for as long as you wish to hear of it. Perhaps we should sit somewhere for our discussion.

...

You seem to be looking at me with a strange expression. Is something wrong?

Ah, well, you're always wearing that mask, Kiyo... I was just wondering how you would drink tea.

So he *does* take it off sometimes. That makes sense, or else he couldn't eat or drink.

...and I replace it with a mask for meals.

That is correct. I have one for bathing, sleeping, and even exercising.

So he has a variety...

If you will excuse me...

He *could* just take it off... He doesn't have to have so many kinds. Why so particular about that...?

Thank you for waiting, Shuichi.

Huh? Did you change your mask?

...It looks exactly the same.

So I will proceed to enjoy this tea now.

O-Okay...

This tea has a nice scent. I usually prefer green tea, but this is wonderful.

Bu t won't it just spill on the mask...?

Aaah... A mellow flavor that makes itself familiar to the tongue.

Huh? The mask isn't wet. Did he pour it in the slit? I didn't even see him do it.

Cookies... I'll definitely get to see him take off his mask to eat that.

What happened!? The cookie just disappeared...

What is the matter?

It... The cookie, it just...disappeared...

Well yes... Because I put it into my mouth.

Kehehe...you're wondering how I ate it, aren't you? If you are vexed by such trivial things, then your world is still very small.

You also need a very high IQ to understand Naruto.

I will open up your world through anthropology...if you so desire.

That room is just so splendid... I wish to show it to Sister...

You also have interest in the Victorian era, do you not, Shuichi? After all, it is the era of detectives and phantom thieves...though only in fiction.

I dunno, I think a lot of us goons are burned out on phantom thieves right now.

Ah, but there was also that famous serial killer. Perhaps you've more interest in that?

This gift is only available in the casino after beating Chapter 3, so Kiyo's lucky nobody voted for him. Well, nobody in the thread, anyway.

To have brought this to me... You truly have an eye for treasures.

If you'd like, I can tell you this item's history. Are you interested?

So from an anthropological view, "house" does not necessarily mean "family." The house is an umbrella term that denotes both residence and people.

Interesting... It's fun breaking down the etymology of words we use.

Indeed. Speaking of family...

No, it was my uncle... He's the detective, and I just help him.

Ah, so that's how it happened.

How about you, Kiyo? What made you become an anthropologist?

There is no particular reason. I merely pursued my interests.

Sister?

I first learned of anthropology while reading a book with Sister. It said that tales like that of Princess Kaguya existed all over the world. I was surprised that people across the globe had such similar ideas.

So that's how you became an Ultimate?

Indeed. I am who I am today all because of Sister. Sister understood me more than anyone else.

My outfit was originally much simpler, but she said that didn't suit me... She made it ever so beautifully. There is no uniform quite like mine.

Korekiyo looked elated as he told me about it.

I'm an only child, so I'm a bit envious...

Kehehe... Do you have an interest in sisters, Shuichi?

Th-That's not what I mean at all!

She made me this uniform between bouts of illness.

I'm sorry...

But I'm sure that, as long as you're working hard, she'll be just fine.

What do you mean by that...?

I see. So you're saying I should work hard for her. Of course I know that.

Ah, I apologize, I didn't mean to overstep my bounds...

No, no. Sister thanks you for worrying about her. You're a good person...

Kehehehehehehehehe...

Do all her friends have to be girls...? Maybe his sister doesn't like boys going near her. Now *that's* a complex...

Kiyo's sister sounds super cool. I can't wait to meet her.

MUSIC: Spirit, Praise and Beauty

Things like ouiji boards and the Japanese game known as kokkuri are kinds of seances.

Kokkuri is said to summon the spirit of a fox to answer the participants' questions...

That said, answers from these basic seances are often simply the participants' subconscious.

But The Caged Child is different... With it, we can truly speak with the dead!

Well? Would you like to try?

 "I know some other people who do rituals are full of poo poo, but you can trust that I'm the real deal because

This is a fine gift... It almost makes me sorry to be the one receiving it.

I would like to at least tell you some stories in return. Which one though...?

Now that I think about it, every time we hang out, it turns into a lecture... Well, I am having fun, so I don't mind it.

Yeah, and how there are similar legends all around the world.

That is but one legend with counterparts in other cultures. Another such legend—one I find quite interesting—is that of Hainuwele.

Hainuwele?

To summarize, she was a goddess who defecated valuable items. In the tale, she was killed and her body became seeds for crops. Similar tales in Japanese folklore are Ohogesu Hime and Uke Mochi.

Yeah, absolutely...

Tales with boxes not to be opened, hero mythology, gods disguised as beggars... There are tales with similar elements like these all over the world.

Interesting. So you know all about legends and myths, Kiyo?

Are there any in particular that resonate with you?

Myths that resonate...hmm...

Have you ever heard of Medusa?

The monster who turns all that look upon her to stone...correct?

Hm? Am I wrong?

No, you're not wrong. But she was originally known as a goddess of nature.

A goddess of nature?

She was changed into a fearsome monster to be slain by a hero.

How did that happen?

The answer is clear if you consider why nature deities were worshipped.

But over time, humanity developed civilization and began taming the land. The protection of a goddess of nature was no longer needed. The goddess becoming a monster is proof of humanity overcoming nature.

I see...

Because we're really starting to regret that whole "overcoming nature" thing?

Because it's a good scary story? It is pretty frightening...

Kehehehehe... Very good. It seems you have the qualities of an anthropologist.

I have no idea...

Kehehe, the reason is something every living thing can relate to.

To show the power of humanity? To say that we've conquered nature?

That is true, yes... But there is a bigger reason.

In other words, all human beings will one day perish. So even if we overcome nature, we cannot overcome death...

I couldn't exactly tell through the mask, but I imagine Korekiyo was smiling.

It seems I've gotten off track. Let us return to discussing myths.

O-Okay...

The Caged Child was one such art. It seems feudal lords feared the words of the dead.

"Dead men tell no tales"... Kehehe...what a foolish saying. There are countless ways to speak with the dead...

Really, who else was this going to be for?

This is...! Shuichi, where on Earth did you find such a thing!?

Ooh...I never dreamed of encountering such a splendid item here.

Also known as surveying, fieldwork is very important to anthropology. Hearing legends recounted firsthand, recording tools or lifestyles... For this, I've traveled across the nation.

Across the nation? I imagine that would be quite the life.

The latest topic to pique my interest are customs related to ropes.

oh god

Ropes?

I've found that many regions in Japan customarily use ropes to welcome guests. Why, I wondered, were there such similar customs in such distant places?

pull up shuichi

That said, there are differences in how the ropes are used. In one region, guests tie up women. In another, the guests are tied up.

...That doesn't seem like much of a warm welcome.

...Quite the reception.

Kehehe, your understanding is yet shallow. That was only the beginning. As I was tied up, they whipped me. It was such a warm welcome.

I don't think that was a welcome at all!

I feel like that door should remain closed.

After passing through that door... I was able to reunite with someone taken from me by death. That was the greatest welcome I could've possibly received. Kehehehehe...

Such an experience will grow your love for anthropology. I want that for you.

Oh, indeed. It is useless without basic knowledge. I'm glad you understand.

There are still many secrets to discover.

They are...not necessarily secrets. We merely live our lives distanced from such knowledge.

I don't think I can ever do that.

Well, you may have a fear of entering unknown lands. But knowledge will cause your curiosity to overcome that fear. People are creatures of greed. At times, that inner ugliness is visible. But that, too, is just another aspect of the beauty of humanity.

I'm interested, but I don't want to risk my life...

You misunderstand. Field work places you among the unknown, but it is not some adventure. Being killed in some secretive mountain village is mere occult novel fiction.

From what you told me earlier, I'd say the danger is real...

AUDIO: Kiyo Free Time #2

Even if it isn't for field work, I wish to travel the country with you. I want to show you the beauty of humanity as I know it.

I thought he was creepy at first... But now, there's a real bond between us.

Perhaps I might consider you my first disciple, then? Kehehe...I never imagined having a disciple so soon.

Alright, most of these weren't that bad. A lot of them were just him going 'Yeah, this thing's my passion, I love doing it!' and then he proceeded to explain some of it. If it weren't for the fact that we know the background context for a lot of the creepy bits, I would've said that he's just an excited person with weird fashion tastes, but has a genuine passion for the thing he's studying. I can see why some people like him as a character!

Aw, no free times with his sister? Eh, I guess that would've spoiled the trial.

Anyway I think doing all these free times just after a character dies is a good way of spreading these out throughout the LP.

Never attribute to malice that post which is adequately explained by a poor sense of humor.
I really like Kiyo's events, they are both educational and provide good insight into his character. The revelations during the last trial would not be so far out if you had seen these events first - especially if you also saw Kaede's version, and heard about how he wants to "find friends for his sister". It takes on a whole other meaning when you consider that he wanted to kill her after they got out. Kiyo is not a good person by any sane person's standards.

Why bother at that point? What's Monokuma going to do? Kill him?

TODAY'S GONNA BE A GOOD MOTHERFUCKIN' DAY!!!

AUDIO: A Message from Rantaro

MUSIC: REAL/FICTION

Guess I should start from the beginning.

Now, Monokuma probably already told you this, but just in case... This killing game will continue until there are only two people left. Now the important part of that rule is that—

Well, the truth is...this isn't your first—

So watch your back. Trust no one. And never forget...

...No matter what.

Day 14.

After waking up from Monokuma's announcement, I headed to the dining hall as always.

MUSIC: Rise of the Ultimates

Good morning, everyone.

Good...morning...

...

There's a dark mood in the air of the dining hall today.

If you don't eat, then Gonta will eat you instead, Shuichi.

Ah, he'll eat me? Don't you mean my breakfast...?

He's not here yet?

He's probably still sleeping...

*sigh*

...

MUSIC: Cool Morning

H-Himiko?

Your "good mornings" are too quiet! It's cuz you're so quiet that you feel down!

*SIGH!!!*

...Weird. I thought you'd be the most depressed out of all of us.

Of course...I'm depressed. This is the most depressed I've been in all my 200 million years.

But...being depressed won't help those who died rest in peace... Tenko and Angie, too. If I stay depressed, they won't be able to rest in peace either.

S-So anyway... Please...t-take care of the...new me...

You're out of breath already. You're going full speed right out of the gate!

But it's just like Himiko said. Those of us left need to look to the future and live. For all the others' sakes.

Huh? Isn't that what we were talking about?

Ughhh...but now that there's less people, I might...be the next victim...

Woooow, so exciting! But I definitely don't wanna die!

Well, I guess that's the same for everyone else! Ah-hahahahahaha!

Just then, the door to the dining hall burst open, and...

Okay, maybe not that serious, but Gonta went to courtyard before coming here...

Yeah. More letters added...

MUSIC: Nightmare in the Locker

TSUMUGI: Wh-What about the world? What does it mean? Is there some crazy story going on?

No, I don't think that's a good idea.

...Why? Do you want to die?

Ah, right. That's just a habit of hers. But my heart skips a beat every time...

No one here takes credit for it, right? But now there's more added to it. It must have some meaning.

So, seriously, none of us here wrote it? If this is a prank, you better speak up.

If it was a prank, then they would've done it in a more obvious spot, not in the grass. There's nothing more depressing than an unnoticed prank.

It's like a titty no one wants to fondle!

Well, it could just be Gonta writing it, since he was the first one to find—

It's...ungentlemanly.

What is that writing...

Who's doing it? What does it mean?

MUSIC: Cool Morning

Thanks for the report, Gonta.

...Gonta just glad to help.

Gonta want to help, even little. Tell Gonta if you need help with something, okay?

O-kay, got it! I'll let you know if I want you to punch someone.

Y-Yeah... Gonta learn lesson after Insect Meet and Greet...

MUSIC: Mr. Monokuma's Lesson V3

Hm? Are you getting dizzy from the face I make when I concentrate really hard?

Your face...? It's always the same, isn't it?

Never mind that... You guys are probably eager for it, right?

Right? You guys can't live without getting a prize right now, right?

Only Monophanie says it this time.

MUSIC: Rise and Shine, Ursine!

Oh my... Forgetting your catchphrase is like the kiss of death for a mascot, y'know?

AUDIO: The Frying Pan is the Weapon!

Ngh? Where am I? Where's Kaoru...?

Ack! Your character is completely different now!

Pops... My family... And you... Thank you...for loving me!

C'mon! Remember already!

I've had about enough of them...

Heeey, give us some lovin', tooooo. I want my reward alreadyyyyy.

When did you get so friendly with Monokuma, Kokichi?

Okay, okay. The prize this time is—

MUSIC: Mr. Monokuma After Class V3

AUDIO: Secret Items III

A card key is the motive? What does that even mean?

So, the new area you can open with the card key... Is that where the real motive is?

No, we shouldn't. If we want to prevent another murder from happening—

Yoink! I'll take that card key then!

Kokichi used his lithe body to his advantage and took the card key from Monokuma.

B-But that Monokuma's motive! What if another murder happenl?

What?

Cuz this is the killing game and we're the players, plain and simple. Why *wouldn't* the players play the game?

No thaaaanks! See yaaaaa!

Running in the halls isn't normally allowed, but I suppose boys will be boys.

Also, I forgot to mention this, but I've hidden another Flashback Light somewhere.

I wonder what memories you'll uncover next! Happy hunting!

You forgot that, too!? C'mon, let's go!

MUSIC: Cool Morning

We cannot leave Kokichi alone with that card key motive...

But...aren't you curious about the Flashback Light, too?

Perhaps we should all search together, and look for Kokichi as well.

Right now, we need your skills as a detective, Shuichi.

Right... In that case, let me hold onto that. I'll look around again.

Now that you're so respectable, I'll let you pet me if you want!

Oh, I see, so Shuichi gets that honor.

Don't worry. When the time comes, we'll use your body as a meat shield.

Okay! Gonta hope time come soon!

No... You should hope that it doesn't come.

I'll search for a place to use these mysterious items.

MUSIC: Beautiful Lie

Looks like we'll be going to the farthest ends of the school. Let's start with the courtyard.

Are they renovating an old facility? Perhaps constructing a new building...?

At the start, Monokuma said they were supposed to be facilities for us.

It is hard to imagine that they built this entire facility just for us.

I also think Monokuma was lying. He is an exceptionally deceitful being.

"Being"? Well, he's a robot, isn't he?

Ah, no, that's not what I meant...

Why does it exist? Is it really just a place for us to have the killing game?

She's staring at Tenko's lab... I should leave her alone.

Or I'll become even more beautiful...

Ah...I see.

Is she embarrassed? About something she said herself?

...Did it look like I was blushing?

What?

Ah, that's right, I remember!

Ah...really...?

...

Oh, you just made Himiko angry! Someone like you wouldn't know this, but this is Himiko when she's mad!

No...I was just blushing.

What!? From your own compliment!?

Hm, okay! Then I'll keep at it!

Himiko...is really trying to change.

I have been reborn! I won't say that feelings are a pain anymore!

Y-Yeah... If I'm tired, I just gotta make a tired face...

I know how she feels, but that might be taking it a bit far.

While searching, I discovered that you can get Shuichi's thoughts on dead characters from examining their lab doors at the start of the chapter, too.

It's not embarrassing to express your feelings, it's only human... Himiko has changed, just like you wanted. She's not so lazy anymore... She's working hard, trying to live well. But...you exchanged your life for that. It's not fair...

Gonta? Are you looking for Kokichi?

No, not Kokichi...

No mistake this time! It definitely fly by Gonta's eyes!

Heeeey bug! Come out agaaaain! Gonta just wanna taaaaalk!

I'm sure he's interested, as the Ultimate Entomologist...

But...the memory of the Insect Meet and Greet is still raw...

Heyyyyy! Come out, come out wherever you arrrre! Where you hiding bug!? Come talk to Gontaaaaa!

I knew that fuckin' midget was running a goddamn cult!

I mean, if there really was a god...

Hah-hahaha! That kooky fuckin' bitch!

...

If he's not in the courtyard...is he inside somewhere?

You're...probably right. But apparently Kokichi is quite good at hide-and-seek. If he's serious about hiding from us, finding him may prove to be quite troublesome.

Troublesome?

Ah, no, it's nothing.

Please tell me! You don't need to hesitate. After all, we're friends.

Well... I just thought...perhaps a *robot* could find a human...

Shuichi...you're not even trying to hide your robophobia anymore.

What? Really?

That black object over there looks suspicious, doesn't it? The one with the red border.

Next time, putting things into other things.
