Debbie Harry was born the same year as Eric Clapton and Neil Young. She's one year older than Trump, and two years older than Iggy Pop and Larry David.

I got weirdly good at using the analog buttons in Gran Turismo that going to Forza with triggers was kind of hard. But couldn't for the life of me get them to work in MGS3. Just constantly shooting and judo throwing people.

I've always thought the white brick walls in the middle of the mid-town Lidl were in poor taste, like reminded me of an 80s school interior or a fortress, and didn't seem to serve any purpose. Turns out they're medieval ruins and there's an excavated medieval chapel and remains of a church underneath.

Manila folders are either sometimes or used to be made of Manila hemp. I'm an ironworker and we use rope and knots/rigging, I knew the rope was hemp sometimes and called Manila, bit never made the connection with the folders.

At 37, I just got the phrase, "Smooth move, Ex Lax." I hadn't ever really thought about it, especially why you call the person Ex-Lax. If you had asked me, I probably would have saod that because it's a laxative, that's simply funny enough on its own. Anything poop adjacent is funny. Oh wait...It's a laxative...it gives people smooth moves, i.e. smooth bowel movements.

The medieval ruins were themselves built on ruins from antiquity which were built on even older ruins and so on and so forth. It's ruins all the way down.

This is pretty banal, but: I grew up (in the mid- to late 80s) watching Jeopardy! in the evenings. One day, when I was home sick from school, I found a "daytime" version of Jeopardy!, with a different set and different host. I assumed they just had a daytime version of the show and a prime-time version, and never thought to question that assumption. I JUST realized they must have been running re-runs of the old Art Fleming version of the show.
