yeah, the weird face gobos are meant to be evocative of his hair is a good idea, but I don't know how you'd go about making them good in practice. similarly it's spiderman-esque enough that I can see where it is going, but like the Blade's new mask it isn't just straight a reference so much as makes you think of it.
