I don’t think Renaults power deficit was ever anywhere near as bad as Red Bull liked to make it out to be, and even if it was, Renault’s engine focus has always largely been on drive-ability as opposed to peak power.

I like Ricciardo, but didn’t he win China pretty much entirely because he was able to pit while everyone in front of him couldn’t/didn’t, so he divebombed his fresh tires to the front past people with lovely worn ones? Ricciardo was never all that talented. Now that he's well past his prime, he's going to lose repeatedly to little Lando and take it terribly. The smiley, sunny demeanor that contributed so much to his gross overrating over the years is going to turn into an ugly, sour viciousness that makes his most clueless fans (all Australians) wonder what they ever saw in him. Sad to contemplate but inevitable. Another F1 fraud to bite the dust.
