Rewatched Love Hurts and So Does Art because I love the Bobby-gout storyline. The storyline of Hank’s colon being framed alongside a starving African child felt like it was one of the fan plots from this thread. Anyway, I learned that the beef defamation law Hank uses to get the artist arrested is based on a real law that is still on the books in Texas, and was the crux of a high-profile case against Oprah Winfrey. e: just realized that there are two active koth threads VvV https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3188099&perpage=40&pagenumber=461 Kevin DuBrow fucked around with this message at 01:44 on May 10, 2020 |

I always think that I don't like late season King of the Hill, then I actually put it on and I love it. Hank : "Old Mrs. Dwyer sure did like concrete amphibians. It's a shame one ended up killing her."

I just hold my tongue on the quality debate. People like different stuff. I think season 1 is a little weak because they haven't found the voice for every/any character yet but it's still pretty good.

I love Turtlesong you're nuts. Peggy thinking that her guitar teachers single tiny tattoo is super cool and alternative is super adorable. But I'm not one to talk, I skip Pigmalion about 50% of the time and a lot of people love that episode

Yeah but that one has one of the best lines in the series: HANK : Bobby, you’re usin that head as a crutch. BOBBY: “it’s not a crutch, it’s something I’ve come to rely on to get through life.”

Doc Platter was another great character I wish we'd gotten more of. Hank ate up everything he said even though it was just as likely to be the confused ramblings of a senile old person as it was ancient cowboy wisdom. "Well, I never could figure what the sky was thinking, but the soil, she don't keep too many secrets." "Well... I suppose I can't tell you much that them mountains can't tell you better."
