I mean, you see pictures like that of a packed bar and it's kind of freeing. There is nothing we can do, no individual or collective action, that will make Americans less stupid. The virus is going to fully run its course here and a million people are going to die, and while you can lament what could have been, there are no more levers to pull; the trolley problem has been solved.
