I mean, the dumbest thing I've ever done with either of my guns was reinstall the slide on my P320 without putting the takedown lever back in first after cleaning it. And even there I was in no danger because I follow the cardinal rule of never keeping live ammo around when you're cleaning/servicing.

Random question but is there a study or does anyone have any insights on how much of our ~$700bn defense funding could be cut without affecting our national defense?
