shitlibs have (conveniently for the status quo) internalized violence never solves anything so they have to protect the property from violence to stroke their shitlib egos

also all of that other violence against is just an accidental tragedy that we just have to educate enough people to stop

Everyone remembers that time period when if a random list of names was found in the bathroom of a public school the building was locked down as the school and police told everyone a hit list was found and the guilty people needed to come clean immediately or all sports were cancelled for the year.

No. They were just taught as children that you shouldn't damage other people's property because you wouldn't like it if they damaged yours and that's literally the last time they ever thought about it. They don't expect to be rewarded and it wouldn't change their mind if you explained to them that the property is insured because they've internalised that childhood lesson as morality. If you see someone breaking stuff, you stop them because that's wrong.

And yet they never internalized "Sharing is caring" or "Randomly murdering people for their skin colour is wrong".

That's also incorrect. Yeast DO fermentation, they aren't fermented themselves. Your phrase should be "fermented barley soda."

I got this stuff called Wellraiser last year and it is the nicest non-alcoholic drink that tastes like beer I've had in ages ( Not drunk for 8 years due to liking it a bit too much)

I've found most non alcoholic beers are not great. This one is really good.

the suburban whites believe that anyone who dares disrespect capitalists' property must also disrespect suburban white property, and therefore the filthy anarchist poors are animals who must be brought to heel at the first opportunity. thus major landmarks like the local Target must be defended at all costs, to thwart the thieving hordes before they can disperse into nearby neighborhoods to rob the McMansions and torch their SUVs

it's the weaponization of class-consciousness by the wealthy to turn the middle class against the poors, basically. the wealthy (who own a lot of property) teach the middle class (who own a little bit of property) that any threat to the ownership of property is a threat to the middle-class. they teach that law and order and upholding the system are all essential to protecting the property and position of property owners, and thus the middle-class folks who've managed to "earn" a little bit of property by painstakingly navigating and enduring the system become deeply invested in the protection and maintenance of the system, thus becoming unwitting foot-soldiers for the billionaires

A message from my company's "President & Chief Revenue Officer":

quote:

I think we all agree, senseless violence and brutality is unacceptable and disgraceful. It is even worse when its committed by someone that’s supposed to protect us.

George Floyd’s death marks the most recent example of these injustices, but we have to admit this is a recurring theme that needs to be addressed and healed in our communities. I’ll likely never completely understand the pain, frustration, and fear that many on our team and in our community go through, but I’d like to try. Should you need someone to talk to, should you have suggestions on what we as a team can do better, let’s have the conversation.

Open communication and respect for every individual is what ultimately leads to change.

Lastly, if you are attending the peaceful protests. Thank you for making your voice known. I know many of them are starting around 5. Feel free to sign off a tad bit early to get there, but please be SAFE.

Thank you,
Not exactly "capitalism.png", but more "not all companies". They've been on top of isolating and work-from-home even before the pandemic was declared and stay-at-home orders were issued.

I'm not sure how many other companies would actually encourage people to leave work early to participate in protests.

My company meanwhile is making people come back into the office this week despite covid, idk why since we can all do our jobs remotely and have been doing them perfectly well for months now (but I have a feeling it has to do with the fact that the CEO reads nothing but fox business news and is always sending links to the whole company from there).

I was supposed to go in on Monday but the protests got violent here so they said we'd be working from home until Wednesday, thanks protests!

I have a few friends who work in the American branch of a French company. They were told "in these trying times, if you need to take some time off to do 'community service,' please do. You know what your community's needs are, so you may take time off for whatever 'community service' you feel needs to be done."

I'm half surprised they didn't attach plans for building a guillotine.
