Stux posted:i think thats how i ended up with goemon 64 which i played a ridiculous amount considering i didnt have the memcart and couldnt save Goemon 64 holds a special place in my heart because it's one of those games where you can tell they were still figuring out 3D so there's gigantic stretches of nothing because they were trying for semi realistic distances between points of interest, but it's still really fun and funny.

yeah, but you will definitely pay multiple times the price of just buying the thing yourself, and also i've done the free plays on toreba before and those machines are hosed UP. most rigged crane games i've ever seen

Alright some sites have gotten ahold of the info and it's about Sega using fog computing for gaming in arcades. (they never stopped making arcade hardware. Chihiro was a souped up Xbox, then they moved on to Intel solutions) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fog_computing

My nostalgia. I had $60something from catsitting or lawnmowing or some such. My little brother wanted something so I lent some money and then had to count out change from my wallet to get Doom 2 because I thought I had more. So I was that weird kid to whatever loser was manning Babbage's, and I was that kid with a wallet with an overstuffed coin pouch, but hey I got Doom 2. Net win.
