had a bad streak earlier, but tonight I had a string of really good runs on woods including outsniping 2 duos. did jaeger's snack dropoff and also finished both shootout picnic and the kill 5 scavs without body armor all at the same time! Idk, I’ve found the changes to be *difficult* in the Tarkov sense but fine. Hidden stashes have given me plenty of quest items, and scavs have often spawned for me with 300k keys or at least some decent ammo to sell on the flea. I played like a rat tonight and made 1.2 mil and got several quests done. I feel like if you view the quests more as “challenges”, like dailies or something in other games it’s really not so bad. People thinking they need to get a quest done every raid are setting themselves up for disappointment. My mindset is more “okay I need to keep an eye out for these”, or “if I get a good chance, make it over to this spot for the quest”. This game is hard when compared to other games but in and of itself it’s really not so bad given the flea, hideout, and insurance.

loving lol that when you dump your gear for insurance purposes and die it treats your out of raid health as if you were a hatchling. So the code checks not what you bring in, but what you take out. “This game and it’s half-assed answers to hatchlings are choooooice.” Could be a summary of the last several patches. Randomly killing a player scav who didn't shoot you first will still get you flagged. A lot of the situations I get them in make me think it’s some weird LOD loading poo poo. Wrt: AI Scav hostility Scavs work in groups, and are only hostile within that group. So if as a Scav you wipe out scavs in the big red warehouse on Customs, the scavs at the gas stations won't shoot you. However the groups are unknown and you got no way to tell which is which, that example is the only one I have confirmed but my buddies had similar experiences with other groups. I think Shoreline is hosed this patch, i keep getting disconnected every time I run it. I've also can't find anyone for the life of me there, it's insane.

Shot two p scavs trying to kill our buddy last night on Reserve. An AI scav near me shot me. Across the map at white pawn I run into a bunch of AI and they're not hostile.

He's right that hatchet runners have always been a dumb meta to the game, and should have been weeded out patches ago. However, extract camping is certainly worse than hatchet running so I guess I see your point about the stupid hypocrisy. Not sure however what you can do about extract camping because I don't think you can design a map that is extract camping proof.
