I spent many years living in Bristol, so proud of them. I really feel like masks come fully off when people harp on about preserving the legacy of slave traders, it's quite funny in a sad way to see the arguments people make. What next, tearing down the buildings it all paid for? No mate, obviously not, cos the buildings don't serve the same purpose as an actual loving monument to the man.

In 1806 he was impeached for the misuse of public funds, and although found not guilty he never held office again. he may have supported the slave trade but people were mean to him so who is to say if he was good or bad
