3 hours to get from the start of the game to the end of the first Hell Kitchen mission is rather... impressive for Bruce Balden as someone who didn't play Deus Ex for ages, isn't exactly a gaming person and has to handle the Liberty Island mission almost blindly. I'm not being sassy about that by the way. If you ever were the kind to go pick up the download on Planet Deus Ex that let you install on the demo the gameplay story all the way to that part, that's somewhat quick!

The liberty island mission has tons of content. It's quite easy to spend more than three hours there, especially if you're dying and/or savescumming.

I had conservative friends really into stratfor like a decade ago. I forget the details but stratfor got them all amped up about some huge coming war or something that was completely made up, and since then i haven't heard anyone talk about them until this thread. so they blew their load on some random, possibly unintentional (stratfor seemed coked out and slightly nuts imo) disinformation.

Deus Ex is leagues harder than MGS and certainly wouldn't be the first game I'd pick for someone who doesn't necessarily advertise themselves as a gaming person.

Latest Chapo is just Matt doing a summation of his streams with Chris for the podcast-only audience Right when he finally gets to grill on stream + some words about the protests, which at this point you're better off with the Bruce Balden take on it that's on the soundcloud preview since its more succinct and to be honest kind of less intelligence insulting. Did you, after listening to all of the streams, enjoyed Matt's conclusions? You'll really like this episode and probably will use to show other fans what Matt's philosophy is about. Did you otherwise feel like you're being brownbeaten and bored by them? This will just be a confirmation that you'll be better off listening to anything else.
