West Virginia only has 6,000 residents, so those numbers are especially severe.

mastershakeman posted:Yesterday had a mere 373 deaths in usa. That might be the low until 2021, whee Well, 373 "official" weekend deaths. Who knows how many actual deaths they'll manage to obscure next Sunday! The USA also just shouldered past Ireland to take 8th position in the "most deaths per capita" race and will overtake the Netherlands real soon and bump themselves up to 7th, then there's the long haul to catch up to France, and then an even longer haul to see whether they can catch up to Sweden as they both accelerate past Italy and Spain and try to catch up to the UK, and then it'll be a 3-way race to see who can finally knock sad old honest Belgium out of first place. Poor Switzerland is languishing in a distant 10th place but should be knocked off the leader board fairly soon by Canada or Ecuador, but dark horse Brazil is absolutely rocketing up the field and might even beat them to it. It's the world's shittiest race to the top!

Hair chat. Last haircut and shave was Feb 2019. My hair is down to the middle of my back. I can pull my bangs down below my chin. Shame that I will have to cut it soon. Swamp rear end MS weather and long hair do not mix.

I should look into the antibody test, was it hard to get one? Similar thing for me, I came down with what I'll call "a weird cold" starting the second week of march and was noticebly unwell for a solid 2-3 weeks, but not really that bad. it was definitely not a cold or flu though because my nose felt absolutely fantastic, never better actually, whereas it's always congested/runny. I think the worst part was just the awful fatigue/muscle soreness along with tight-chested/sternum tingling and just wanted to lay in bed (and not like in a goony depression way); no major involuntary coughing or extreme fever though. i work in SF and took the train/public transit every-day so it wouldn't have been that suprrising given it was definitely circulating by Feburary. The article also since non of thier personel have been infected treating Covid but just glosses over that thier own website says like 100 of thier employees have tested positive.

Skyarb posted:I really haven't been keeping up like I used to. With every state pretending like everything is fine and reopening, are things getting hosed again? Yes, the reopenings appear to have pulled the new infection curve back up. States like NC, Texas, California, Arizona, and Florida are starting to see record high totals day-after-day. Hospitals are not yet overwhelmed in these states (very close in NC and Arizona) so I wouldn't describe things as hosed yet. Late June not looking so great though.
