I bought $170 euros worth of bitcoin in an attempt to turn it into weed during lockdown, which was a massively slow pain in the rear end, but then my connect finally came through and I forgot I'd done it (again, weed) Then I remembered, checked, and it was worth nearly $300 so I turned it into Amazon giftcards which was also a massively slow pain in the rear end I will now never touch bitcoin again because at its sole actually useful purpose (buying drugs) it was still significantly more difficult than using real money

Apparently some guys went around the CHAZ and tried to convince other people and vendors that they should make bitcoin their official currency. I'm not sure there's a whole lot of overlap in the venn diagram between the people there and bitcoiners.
