That sounds more like a Bakugou move when they're both pros, Shigaraki would more likely randomly decay an entire block of people in order to get to Deku.

I think this is something about Nobuhiro Watsuki, author of Rurouni Kenshin (among other things), who was caught with kiddie porn on his computer a couple years back. I haven't heard anything about Oda defending him, but it wouldn't surprise me seeing as Oda got his start as Watsuki's assistant.
