I like the comic that says that the only entertainment options on TV in America are COPS, Live PD, Gone with the Wind and Paw Patrol. Like....there's literally an entire channel devoted to crime shows. True Crime might be the single most popular subject of media for the past 5 years, there's thousands upon thousands of choices. poo poo, if you wanna watch COPS so loving bad just go on Youtube, there's multiple channels that are just police body cam footage. You can get them riled up at Wall St, you can convince them quite easily that politicians are all in the pockets of big finance, but you can also probably get them to think it's the illuminati or something. Hence: Garrison. they COULD be organized against big business, but the only media that are really able to speak to them on a regular basis are pointing them firmly at BIG GUV and at immigrants and minorities etc. Centrist media sort of hit on this same idea briefly with Russiagate poo poo, but of course that's not any more productive.

Garrison is libertarian, anti-government, anti-capitalism, anti-cop, doesnt believe in climate change, but he also loves Trump, either because he sees trump as an outsider, or because he realizes pro trump stuff gets him shared in right wing circles and that's good for his business.

Trump managed to pitch himself as both an arch-conservative and as an outsider who would take down the old GOP establishment, and certain people bought the latter assertion hook, line, and sinker, and are too embarrassed to consider that they got played on this point Dees is actually more open-minded than Garrison, because he turned on Trump as soon as it became clear Trump wouldn't be doing a 180 on Israel and would be letting Jared Kushner do stuff
