Why not just randomly spawn rakes all over the ground in every level to smack you in the face and take off 50hp a hit. Would be just as fun.

loving this wipe so far, great changes all around. anything that makes the "mid-game" stretch out longer is going to lead to a healthier diversity of what you seen in each raid. I really appreciate tarkov as a game you can gradually pick at and gain little bits of progress, whether it's skills, stash money, weapon/armor hordes, or whatever else. I don't play every day, but feel like I can usually complete or get good progress on a quest each time I play. I definitely feel like I get "good raid days" and "bad raid days". I don't expect to complete everything in my hideout for months and months, which is actually good. I'm on standard and don't intend on upgrading because it feels like the progress is way more rewarding than EOD. A lot of the recent key changes were mentioned as a way to combat RMT and are only temporary by Nikita on reddit edit: I do wish they would add a phone number validation per account, similar to what CSGO did. It was a good change that cut into the number of hackers significantly from what I remember Canadian Surf Club fucked around with this message at 23:42 on Jun 20, 2020 |

I love factory, lots of quick raids, close quarter battles, good places to hide. Loot isn't great though. The most fun though was going in as a 5 stack to interchange all wearing Killa Armor, Triton, Killa Helm and his gun(s) 4 with RPKs and I brought the PP-19 Zenit. We all filled our pockets with grenades and a Labs Keycard. Sprinted to mid mall and immediately wiped by some guy who was sherpaing his friends. It was good fun.

So drops are definitely not connected. I've gotten 5-6 drops that haven't shown up on my Twitch notifier. I just checked my account before going to bed and found some ammo and a 219 key that didn't show up in my Twitch drops. Maybe they eventually will. For now though, i'd check your Tarkov inventory before your Twitch drops.

The overwhelming majority will never see this video and will happily trick out their AK and load it up with PS.

A handful of people firing BS, many of which killed me. personally, I'd rather run a level 3 + rig, or a level 4 armored rig, and block a good number of PS bullets (and say welp if a BP/BT gets me!) + hope for a nice ricochet off my peen. I'd rather not spend 20-30k extra on a level 4 or 5 and have to spend the outrageous repair costs on ceramic just for the minor amount of protection. I'm a weekend warrior though, so I'm not exactly rolling in cash.

It feels like there are still enough players using lovely ammo that a 6b3 armored rig is worth it. Not sure how quickly that will be coming to an end, though. This is my first fresh wipe; do they normally go this fast? I’ve been playing a lot but not crazy furloughed/wfh amounts and I’m a pretty mediocre FPS player, but I’m pretty much done with Hideout/traders and have enough of a bankroll that tedious quests aren’t a horrible, money-burning grind. It’s actually kinda interesting - grinding a lot of these quests when I started mid-wipe last wipe was pretty miserable. You run into dorms to pick up Prapor’s sippy cup and man purse and get obliterated by Gearlord #15 for the sixth time in a row, and scrabble and scrape just to get by on scav runs. Starting with a fresh wipe and mostly level playing field it’s actually fun - like, “Oh, shoot a bunch of stuff with shotguns? Cool, I can get a bunch of cheap AP-20 from Jaeger and just grab a 153 off flea” and when I die miserably I can just heal up and do it again. Not meant as a humblebrag, but it’s been a huge difference to have a decent amount of game knowledge and a fresh start.

Level 4 armor is still really good if, like me and most of us, you're bad enough to get shot by bad players and scavs with some regularity. If you just instantly delete bad players and scavs, yeah, save your money I guess.

PS cheap level 5 (that repairs for poo poo but whatever) is to barter Ragman 2 gold chains and 3 coffee for a gzhel. Should end up around 90-100k if you watch flea for good prices. Another question for people - is there anything worth crafting for later-game that isn’t basically ammo, moonshine, or mag cases? I’ve been making hoses in the lavatory between mag cases but that seems to be heading to a revenue-neutral point. Making sugar in nutrition unit when I have chocolate and cigs for the M1A barter. Salewas in med unit for the 10-15% profit. It seems like there’s a point where you’re better off just selling raw materials on flea vs mucking around in the hideout though; like the time cost just isn’t worth it.

I mean ultimately those are the things that retain demand once everyone’s hideout is upgraded because they’re either consumable and/or have high vendor prices (and leverage a material you produce via fuel consumption) depending on prices some other precursor materials can be worth it - Eagle Gunpowder generally is generally worth it for example, sometimes bleach depending on prices (not atm though), sometime aquamari there’s a hideout rentability calculator spreadsheet floating around that can calculate this for you, though it’s data importation seemed whacked last time I checked so you’ll want to either double-check the math and/or manually update prices for things you’re considering making locally

Mag case crafting is virtually dead by the way. The only reason it was good into late last wipe is because metal scissors held constant at 50K a piece. Now that they're also used in the scav junkbox craft they go for 100k a pop and it's just not worth the time to craft anymore. There seems to be a lot more things you can craft, but like you said the profit margin is so slim no one really bothers. I'm still only at 16 GPU's and my passive income is still high enough I was able to buy 7 GPU's yesterday with just a few decent runs plus unloading my ammo crafts.
