Jeffrey since PI was a thing all I ever yearned for was to be the mod of pet island. Literally A Bird is a great person and was a great mod but they literally kept me from being a mod there by not ever given up the golden throne, no matter how hard I try. Now that they are gone, nobly, of course, can I be mod of Pet Island? I will be a better mod than whatever pretender you have there now. Or we can co-reign, whatever, I don't care.

Thank you, Jeffery! I'm very happy to see this place in the hands of someone so interested in it thriving. My advice is that if things do get expensive after a point, don't be afraid to charge for some kind of services. Nothing major, but given how many avatars are sold here on a regular basis, people are okay with paying towards the forums if they're having fun.

With Jeffrey getting the entirety of Something Awful LLC as from the announcements, than the front page and all the quality content that it contains will still exist. A new forum in some random shithole, isn't going to have the quality flash tubs or the 9/11 star wars or any of that. Getting control of the Something Awful company is truly the best outcome IMO and I hope Jeffrey can pull it off.

So what's going to happen with the front page? I mean obviously the forums are the bread and butter of this site and most people, myself included, have never once heard of the front page. Long-term is that a thing that's going to have time invested in it to make it... I dunno, a thing again for the first time since 2001 or whatever, or will it finally be taken off its decades of life support?

Echoing what several people have said before, there does need to be a more open and transparent system for mods and admins in the future. I understand it is a hard and thankless job often but I think we all have seen issues with many over the years. I think the idea of term limits as well as some form of voting or approval from the userbase of the subforum should be instituted. As well as a way to report or hold accountable mod/admin behavior.

1. get rid of burt 2. bulk up existing mods 3. make it free to join sa for a little bit to bring in freshblood, permanently mark free accounts as scabs until they get plat 4. please genuinely look into updating the forum software, make a kickstarter or chaturbate or whatever it is to accrue any funds required 5. review mod/admin transparency 6. review the sheer number of subforums, are they all relevant? ok bye
