Throughout that year, I'd interacted with probably a dozen billionaires personally, and it really cast the film (and my further interactions at that place) in a whole new light.

There are bushels of regimes that deserve to be overthrown, even ones that nominally call themselves leftist, but it's a pretty big stretch to think that America is morally equipped to be involved in such activities. We are probably the #1 problem with this planet. The best we can probably do is stop actively loving with other countries, and let the people in those countries decide when and how to give their power structures a comeuppance. Maybe if the US actually manages a stable people's revolution, we can start asking other countries if they would like material aid in upsetting their apple carts. But that's just my lukewarm take, I ain't no foreign policy genius.
