Imagine being so superstitious (and pretentious) that you bring your own special plates or the invisible man in the sky will punish you. Putting is still a 'learning scenario' and it's really easy to mash it past the hole on your first 30 tries until you figure out you're not playing Mini Golf, but making 10', and in, an autoputt gimme helps speed up rounds/makes them close to realistic times, and allows nice approach shots/recoveries to feel great if you get it within 10 foot. Everything is extremely close to realistic and has a lot of telemetry that would help you improve your game, my guy is very spreadsheet oriented and knows his club speed/etc IRL and has calibrated this setup to match. It's also surprisingly close to the same workout as a real round, minus the walking/riding between shots. He figured it was like buying a (relatively cheap) fun car for a couple years and he's not wrong, he's getting a lot of use out of it. It has something like 130 courses available, with (lol) DLC.
