Man it sucks that NK went back to this act. Things were looking good with Moon trying to mend ties.

That's the entire problem. Things looked good. Actual progress was minimal by comparison and the liberals lost their best excuse for that when their electoral landslide eliminated the political power of their main opposition. Next year we could easily have a president who's not interested in a peace process at all which is why it makes sense for North Korea to play hardball now.

Did you get naked and and make a video with a lowly subordinate of the Workers' Party?

Is it true that 9 members of the Unhasu Orchestra were murdered?

Did the Ministry of State Security disband the Unhasu Orchestra and the Wangjaesan Light Music Troupe?

What is this?

This generally correct tweet makes the really weird decision of couching the issue in terms of the popular media meme of "because Trump didn't prepare right" when the far more obvious and intuitive interpretation of the situation is "because Trump is a liar who can't be trusted to follow through on his promises" something which is made especially obvious by the remainder of the thread-

I don't think they are saying *Trump* didn't prepare, but the Administration, people who would've carried out and implemented those decisions. I have no doubt that the left hand had no idea what the right hand was doing.

Ok so I am in Auckland, New Zealand and there was a protest on the main street claiming voter fraud in the latest election. I couldn't find any info, is it just crazy right-wingers or is there something to this?

Not necessarily. Asserting fraud in the latest South Korean election has been a thing among expat Korean communities. Domestically though it's a totally nutters conspiracy theory that the right-wing party very quickly gave up on within a few days after the results were announced. I think they even explicitly said that they don't believe election fraud happened but that was months ago so it's not that easy to look up.

Some Guy TT

She's right. They actually went to the trouble of reading it and quickly realized that in terms of policy Bolton basically spends the whole thing bragging about all the hard work he went to in order to sabotage anything the Trump administration tried to do in order to make war less likely. The real mask coming off moments are when he makes derogatory comments about South Korean officials that go considerably farther than even what the domestic right-wingers are willing to do.

They told me I had to make an account there, but they would only cash it after I had an account for 3 months.

And I see from some smug dude on Facebook that some no name local bank in Busan cashed his check immediately.

I heard KB will cash it, so I'm trying them next.

If not, guess I'll download Bank of America's check cashing app and deposit it in my bank back home. <_<

So, the stimulus cheque was an actual physical cheque being sent out in the mail?

Couldn't the government just have done a direct deposit in peoples' bank accounts?

When I do my taxes, I have to tell my government about all my accounts. My tax refund goes straight into the one I specify.

Or am I expecting way too much from the US government?

Are we talking about the US stimulus check or is there a Korean one I may potentially qualify for that I'm unaware of? The US one can be direct deposited.

I never owed them money before, nor was owed money by them. So they didn't have my bank account on file. If I had done either of those things, they would have had my details and sent me the money electronically. So, they sent a physical check to the apartment I lived in last year and I had to have a friend keep an eye on the mail box.

I had a real tax account fill out my return this year, so if there's another stimulus check, I'll get it electronically.
