I have wondered for nearly a quarter of a century what the process of buying those fast food burgers was like. Now I know. Doubly-appreciated because apparently when the product flopped Nintendo forced Yokoi to be the demo guy on the floor at trade shows as a sort-of humiliation.

I had this happen - was hired for a support position to someone higher-up who took a two-year secondment to another organisation just after I began. I was still on the books as his assistant/PA, but as he wasn't there I didn't actually have anything to do. So I just brought my own laptop in and played games in his office all day. The most 'work' I did was forwarding some emails to the person mirroring my job where the guy was.
