Though I still think he was a weird fit for the Horsemen even if Flair liked him.

Totally agree. The Horsemen are about being the best of the best (and Paul Roma). Having some kind of tangential relationship with him would have been fine, but being in the Horsemen was really off.

I mean, it made sense on the grounds that he was a rich NFL star and Flair just wanted to make his enemies look bad and go jet flying, limousine driving, etc.

And I mean, we're talking a spot once held by Paul Roma.

I'm not a Mongo fan but it wasn't because I didn't understand why Ric brought him in characterwise.

Internet wasn't a big thing back then, so at least you had to work to find out someone's address. Attitude Era today would have resulted in deaths

Someone used her PO box address for fan mail to request an autograph. They did this by sending her a pic of her having a nip slip in a match and asking her to sign it

She understandably considered this insane and is getting rid of the PO box

This is insane!

A company promoting a wrestlers personal merch, does so by using twitter to promote the wrong twitter address, and then has to be publicly corrected by teh wrestler in person.

1) That's cool of Asuka for having the balls to correct them publicly.
2) The WWE's social media intern is provably incompetent.
and 3) It shows the disconnect between back office and in ring workers, both in communication and connection. Where I doubt Asuka herself even knew they were promoting her with those lovely branded masks. And I fear to think what small percentage of teh proceeds she will actually get.

edit: I didn't read that it said they were donating profits to a charity.

Mongo was just 20 years too late, reputation-wose. If he were a football player turned wrestler in the 60s or 70s, he'd be one of those guys you'd hear old guys wistfully spin tales about how tough he was and what a promo he was.

Probably did better money-wise, though.
