British food is fine and is like 40% of everything you eat, but we did the thing where if it was good it got to be "normal food" in our culture and only the bad or divisive stuff gets to be counted as "british food" because it's stuff we don't also typically eat. Like who's calling a sandwich or apple pie "british food" compared to a jellied eel?
