Melaneus, you made an effort, and you did it while daring to deviate from the 'pithy one liner' formula that has dominated this forum's humor for so many years. You have my respect just for that.

Artist's impression here: Reality, to the limited extent that I understand what happened, turned out to be much weirder and less noble

The website Codecademy.com does not have an 'a' after the word code. I've been calling it Code Academy for years until I went back today to teach myself some SQL e: didn't help that they have the url for codeacademy.com and it just redirects to codecademy

As I was a kid, I was taught that "water vapour" is tiny droplets of water suspended in the air, that "steam" is water in gas form, and that if you can see it it's water vapour, not steam. Apparently, that was completely incorrect. Lies to children! Classon Ave. Robot posted:

Clouds are a complex physical system of three phases of water. "We just don't know" isn't entirely wrong as we still lack a total model for describing the interplay of the water with itself and atmospheric fines in a way that spits out something like conditions of A make a cloud type 1. Homogeneity is a lie made to make your homework easier and make you feel better about lead free water.

Clouds are a mix of all 3 states, but the water in them is mostly in liquid form. You also have some air, carbonic acid, and very tiny solids. So clouds are a soda, or pop outside the East coast.

The guy in the white suit and stetson offering 500 simoleons for something in The Simpsons was not referring to the Sims; simoleon or simolean/semolian is a way old synonym for money.

I think it means the local chapter of your union and uses the 3-digit calling code for American cities to identify it. Like in The Simpsons (the one place I recall seeing it) the piano tuners local 412 (Pittsburgh) chapter goes out in sympathy when the teachers' union goes on strike. Now, seeing as how I've probably just been Wrong on the Internet, someone will correct me, and either way you will have learned.

Googling the area code yields: Area Code 384 has not been assigned for use by the North American Numbering Plan Administrator. Area Code 384 is officially planned as a General Purpose area code which is typically assigned to a geographic area. If you receive a phone call from area code 384 it is a spam call. Any phone number such as 384-xxx-xxx does not exist. I believe it's actually the order it was formed. I.e. Chicago Ironworkers Local is 63 and they are one of the oldest.
