I should have probably charged for that lol. CDRs held 700mb and each fit 3-4 episodes so it was like, a massive stack of them for the whole series. We used to watch Naruto weekly back then too. On weekends We’d all go to a friends house that had a bunch of extra computers so we could play Warcraft 3 or something and GameCube Smash on the tv and we would download the latest 50MB episode of naruto from a weird fan site with direct downloads of naruto episodes

never got to watch much anime as a kid but i got a subscription to shonen jump around the initial print premiere of yu gi oh and i got a gangan subscription to read fullmetal alchemist every month

Ruka does get a paired ending in the original but that's in the timeline where they were born female. No idea how they handle it in the date sim spinoff

I would say overall the subs are probably better, since the performance of the english VAs is all over the place in quality, but Chris Patton does a fantastic job as the main character Satou, and us even better than the Japanese Seiyuu in my opinion.

IIRC Mages teased that they might do CHNoah in English at some point but that was a couple years ago now also, on the subject of My Darling's Embrace and Luka quote:Luka’s Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace route seems like it would be one that could be difficult to approach. How did you ensure that the writing in it came together as well it did and was sensitive to his identity? Were you concerned about how his storyline would be received?

I guess say, Astolfo in Apocrypha also had a 'fondness for crossdressing' but he did it explicitly as a joke so

i wouldn't describe astolfo's character as purely just a joke when it's, how he is across the entire series. sometimes a writer can make a weird joke out of it but mostly astolfo is just how he is

from the standpoint of wanting the characters' actions to make some tangible impact on wider society, it's a bit disappointing but it delivers on an ending that works for the characters and doesn't retread AnJ just because it was created in commemoration of it
