There was a paddle ball game I played on Windows in the early 2000s. You just bounced a ball from the bottom the the screen and tried to keep it up. There was a disembodied hand holding the paddle and you could do tricks like flip the paddle to increase your score. I think you could also customize the paddle. Searching for "paddle ball" gets me a thousand Breakout clones and that's not the type of game it was. No bricks. Just playing keep-it-up with a ball and paddle.

If you want cool dice, in all seriousness, go check out AliExpress. Every material, every color, every pattern, and half of them glow in the dark. I nearly spent waaaayyyy too much money, as it was I hosed off with a set of astrology dice and a bunch of those i-ching symbols on some D6es. Dunno what I'll do with them, but I bet it'll be deeply shameful.

So as an outsider I am only left to interpret that from both their risk to the currency and their ability to remove entire threads from SA that chessex the dice company is rivalled only by the Rothschilds and Vladamir Putin in exerting global power. Good for them. Shame that they probably killed Louis Zocchi for exposing the secrets of over tumbled dice and sprue trim inconsistency, but thank god they chose only to take out Lou, and not everyone that watched his dicey rants to keep the Chessex cabal on top.

Though unless that really narrows it down I don't know that I'd have any suggestions that didn't get mentioned in the Techmoan video. That's a good question, and he honestly can't remember; it's been a while and he was very young. Some sort of "stuff cassette in, press one of the few button" device that he has no idea where came from. An no, this rings no bells: I'm five years older and from another end of the country, and to the best of my knowledge our library only had normal cassettes. Calling the library - or mailing, so they can pass it around internally - sounds like a good idea. I'll take a look at the format one of you posted a picture of.

I remember listening to an amiga .mod tracker file that I thought had come bundled with Audio Overload, a video game audio emulator, but haven't been able to find since. I do not remember downloading the file but it appeared in the Audio Overload library. Maybe I could dig it up on an old HDD. I seem to remember the name having something to do with orbs or halloween. Onion? Haunted? Haunting? Pumpkin? i think the filename was just one word and then the .mod extension. I really feel like it was haunted.mod or something, but I can't seem to make search engines include the punctuation

There was this browser game I think I found on here a long time ago, it was 8 bit art but pretty nice for the time, and you were an orb or ball or something, and you would explore this world and gain capabilities (being another colored orb), unlocking new areas, etc. It was charming.

oh good this thread still exists, i've got three 1) a nonfiction series of books about various science topics from the 1950s(?), sort of in an encyclopedia-type deal, maybe called the World of Science or something, i remember the covers being beige and red with goldish lettering 2) a song from the late 1980s or very early 1990s, kind of electropop, the only lyrics i remember were something about "need[ing] space" 3) one more nonfiction series, a host of very thin books from the early 1990s that featured, like, cross sections of ancient Egyptian/Roman/Greek houses with lots of comic doodles and blurbs about life in those ancient cultures i fully recognize that all three of these could have been products of a fever dream of mine

There was a lot of stuff about how much their website sucked (it looked like it was wholesale only even though it wasn't and the only way to order was to email them) but the big thing was about the borealis dice mentioned up thread that have been discontinued due to the glitter being used in currency now. (not sure these are the right ones, it was just what I found on imgur) The original glitter is called acqurple and they're very rare and pretty and people sell them for $$$. There's currently a seven die set on eBay for about $575 with 22 watchers. Well, it turns out that the owner of Chessex has a huge stash of these dice, like several hundred sets, and the thread was closed shortly after that was revealed. That's pretty much it. watching that bad movie The Old Guard reminded me of a comic I started once, I vaguely remember it being about a kid whose parents are murdered in the first issue because they are some kind of long living or immortal beings, with some kind of weird atlanean or something backstory? And then the rest of the comic I read is the kid learning to use his powers, maybe with a friend alongside? I think I remember it being pretty violent?

So there used to be a clip on YouTube of the asteroid chase scene from Star Wars ep 4, set to the Hawaii Five-0 song. I only saw it once, and was unable to ever find it again when I tried to show my friends, even after Googling every combination of Star Wars, Millennium Falcon, Ventures, Hawaii, etc. Although admittedly I always gave up looking for it pretty quickly. It wasn't that great, but I have never been able to let it go.

Looking for a gif from a movie/show. The gif was popular ~13 years ago. It's two scenes: 1) an older chubby man comes dancing, bouncing down what looks like basement stairs, pumping his arms each step. The man looks very much like actor Richard Riehle, maybe in a brownish suit, unsure if it's specifically him though. 2) a wider shot in the basement. The man is dancing with a bunch of kids in the foreground. It's not a preschool, seems more like a daycare. One of the front kids is a black girl with her arms inside her shirt. It's a fun, bopping dance party. The gif would be gold, but if anyone can ID the source, I'd be very happy. Been searching for years and years.

I think it was drawn with a very stylized clean style, sort of like an airbrushed photoshop? I seem to recall that the main character or someone else breaks their leg in a very gruesome way near the beginning? Also I seem to recall that the main character's parents had some sort of secret human alter egos that were all he knew them as, but they were killed by two hitman type characters from their past. Basically I seem to think it was like a cross between The Boys and The Old Guard. Someone help me out please. Probably early-mid 2000s

When I was a kid, I remember we had a tape of old cartoons from I’d guess the 50’s and one of them was about babies. It was a sing-along and had a little baby head bounce across the words as the song was sung. “Oh what a beautiful baby...” I think there was also a song about sugar and spice and everything nice. I remember scenes of storks delivering babies to homes. I wanna say it was Disney, but I have no idea. I’m pregnant now and am interested in finding that old cartoon.
